Re: Peter Pan (Live-Action)

My petty answer would be "hopefully never," but I don't think you'd appreciate that. Right now with Corona increasing all over the world, I can't imagine it'll happen anytime soon. When the big-budget Disney films resume production, then you can imagine it'll be the same for smaller films...

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)

Wow, so much for Disney having restored all their classic shorts then. That's clearly not the case if they feel the need to use old masters from the Have a Laugh DVDs. The few shorts I watched must have been from the Treasures DVD set like the Silly Symphonies and some of the Donald ones so that's ...

Re: How's Everyone Doing?

And I had no idea that dogs could have skin allergies! I just hope your dog only has skin allergies and nothing else right now. Oh, yes! I was actually going through my own allergy testing the same time my Trixi was, and we have a lot of allergies in common. The severity of her allergies sucks. She...

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Animated Movies (ALL studios)

I'm trying to find sources about that Jewish folktale cause I don't have any knowledge on it and I asked my Russian/Ukrainian friends and they don't know about it as well. The only animated film I know is The Prince of Egypt. There's also Don Bluth's An American Tail . When I was a child I didn't k...

(note: all quotes below are from JeanGreyForever!) How old are your stepchildren? 8, 10, & 12 So, one of my dogs has severe skin allergies; I was talking with the 12 year old because he was asking about it. I said she was supposed to get her monthly shot today but because I'm sick I cancelled i...

Re: "Top Animated Classics" Poll Needs an Update

I know, I feel like it wasn't too long ago when films like Tangled and Frozen were released. To me it actually feels like a lifetime ago. I was in the university between the releases of Tangled to Frozen (2010-2013) and it was a time where I "rediscovered" Disney again and I kind of miss ...

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I saw an interview with Josh Trank in a youtube video (have tried to find it again without success), where he says that the reason why some directors that are supposed to direct a Star Wars movie, or even a trilogy, suddenly pulls out and is replaced by others, is because of social media. Trank adm...

Re: "Glee" Discussion

That's so tragic that her life was cut short, especially in the act of saving her son's life. I still haven't 100% accepted it yet and I don't really want to either. Her family and some of the Glee stars were together honoring Naya's memory.

Re: Miscellaneous Film/TV Discussion

I just watched Hitchcock's Marnie. I know it's not one of his more famous films (I had never heard of it before now) but I quite enjoyed it myself. And I've never seen a film with a young Sean Connery before so that was also a plus.

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Animated Movies (ALL studios)

Yes. I know people that would have liked to see Esther as a Disney Princess. That does reminds me of how OUAT's David is probably inspired by King David, which was persecuted by King Saul, like OUAT's David being persecuted by King George. Also his mother's name is Ruth. King David's great grandmot...

Re: Favorite Ice Cream Flavor

I've always liked Neapolitan, because I don't have to decide on one flavor! I've always been partial to strawberry, though. I like that one as well. My favorite was strawberry when I was younger. I prefer vanilla now including french vanilla and vanilla bean. I also like anything that is white choc...

Re: Your favorite Star Wars character

JeanGrey, thank you- I'll let him know! He actually did watch Solo after I bought it, and he liked it more than he thought he was going to!! 8) That was the fan reaction of a lot of people who refused to watch Solo or Disney Star Wars films. When they eventually did get around to watching Solo, the...

https://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29409&hilit=top+20 There was one in 2012 with updated results, including a higher ranking for Hunchback while films like Mulan and Pocahontas finally placed unlike the 2003 one. I know I'd love to see a new countdown because we've had so man...

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Animated Movies (ALL studios)

I forgot about that. It's kinda sad that the only Jewish representation in animated films is an ancient story where they were kept in bondage. It would be like if the only animated film with Black people was one set in a period of slavery. Then again TPATF isn't much better considering the Jim Crow...

Wow, Phasma didn't even cross my mind! Not super into Watto, apparently he's heavily based on negative Jewish stereotypes Wow, I feel like I don't know much; I learned about Corpse Bride, Miss Peregrine, and now Watto. :( For what it's worth, I think Watto looks cool more than I love the cha...

Re: Your favorite Star Wars character

I've never liked or hated Jar Jar, he was just there for me. I adore the Porgs and the Ewoks! Chewie is iconic and I love C-3PO, R2-D2, and BB-8. 3PO, who is usualy the least favorite of the iconic droids, is actually my #1 fav droid because I love the fuddy-duddy British type. I like the OT Yoda bu...
