The difference between 2K and 4K on Blu-ray is minimal as evidenced by Bambi (which looks fantastic) and The Wizard of Oz (which is also gorgeous, but not very different from the 2K clips used in That's Entertainment). We won't see anything noticeable till the next home video format, I presume, whi...

Given Disney's need to manipulate the colors of their films in order to cater to modern audiences, with a little help from Dora the Explorer I've managed to calculate what the 2016 Transparent Alumina Edition of Snow White will look like: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a217/enigmawing/innocence/...

Nonsense. Are you saying the Blu-ray releases of Pinocchio and Snow White and Dumbo look like Dora the Explorer? Not so much.. and guess what. The differences in those movies arent as drastic as the changes in BatB. COINCIDENCE?!?!!? See Im pretty reasonable. Disney don't need to do anything to mak...

Why do you assume cash is the motivator? Because otherwise Id would have to assume don hahn doesnt know what hes doing. I think he does. Do you think people are buying Beauty and the Beast on DVD/Blu-ray because of the colours (which let's face it the average purchaser won't see until they buy the ...

Lots of famous directors - much more famous than Don, have openly stated that they have changed their films for home video; be it effects, scenes, alternative takes or - yes - colour timing. Scorsese, Coppola, Gans, Lucas, Spielberg, Fincher and Friedkin... they're the only ones I actually know abo...

There you have it from the source...so for all you color haters, perhaps they can do a re-release. Beauty and the Beast: Murky Dark Color Edition. Yes, they can call it the Oscar Edition. DH: We went through that whole process and part of it is going to the original digital files and bringing those...

Re: Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition
The new Godfather edition is different from the older version too, was that changed too? No, the colors were finally restored to what they were supposed to be. I disagree with this. Theres some indoor scenes where the plants look orange, this was the direct result of coppola trying to make the indo...

Hate to fan the flames but Im sooo disappointed that the original colors arent in this release. I know everyones has an opinion and all but I dont know how anyone can protect the saturday morning version. It looks like a nickelodeon cartoon, not the same movie that got an Oscar. Check out this video...
