Re: I'm Doing the Disney College Program!!!

 :mickana: :mickana: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Both of you! I did my WDW college program in 2012, and even though it could be stressful and tiring, it was an awesome experience. I hope both of you enjoy it. One of my good friends did custodial at Magic Kingdom, and she loved it. She told me the bes...

Re: Getting To Know You

Since I am new here, I thought it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself. My favorite movies are Mary Poppins, The Birds, The Shining, Gremlins, and the Back To The Future trilogy. My favorite TV shows are The Big Bang Theory, Psych, and Modern Family. Now, I want to know a litt...

Re: Mulan attraction

I really think Adventureland in Disneyland is better off without the Magic Carpets. They're a rehash of Dumbo, so there's no need for two of them. And I love the Festival of the Lion King, but it would require a large venue both on and off stage. I haven't been backstage at Disneyland but I don't th...

Re: Frozen Attraction?

There's sufficient real estate to actually expand the Norway pavilion, add a new attraction, and keep Maelstrom in place. But I don't think that's a good idea and I seriously doubt it would happen. (It would require some backstage shuffling and would significantly alter the symmetry of World Showca...

Re: Recipe Swapping

Ooo a recipe thread!!!! I started cooking 4 years ago, when I went vegetarian. Best decision I ever made. It's what taught me how to cook. I'm still learning new things about cooking all the time, so a place to swap ideas would be wonderful. :D While I'm pretty quick at cooking, I can't seem to bake...

Re: Greatest Villain Of All Time

What, no Evil Queen love? As far as unambiguous villains go, the Evil Queen is my favourite. She's regal, has campy silent movie charisma and an amazing transformation sequence. I think the best all-around is either Frollo or Mother Gothel, because they're real . It makes them even scarier knowing t...

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney?

I don't think it will really be dead forever at Disney. It's their legacy, and their DACs are still beloved by, well, the world. As long as kids are still raised on DACs like they are now, I think Disney'll probably try to release a hand-drawn film every so often to test the waters. I think if Disne...

Re: What good thing happened to you today?

^You must be a very cool person then. ;) Taking quizzes with sisters is the best.

Today, I watched The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. There's nothing like Winnie the Pooh. It's so pure and calming. It's a very refreshing experience to watch.

Re: The current "Princess" movies vs the older ones

^I agree about weak scores, and maybe Tangled, and even, yes, Frozen might not feel as cohesive as, say Beauty and the Beast. But I think you're missing the point. I think Disney is trying to reinvent the "princess movie", not necessarily revive it. It seems to me like they want to "u...

^I can't really tell the difference either. The only thing I really notice is that if you have more/heavier people on your bobsled, you go faster. I didn't know all that about the history of the ride though. Very interesting, carolinakid. Atlantica, it's a good ride. It's a classic. It's built ...

Song of the Sea should stand a chance as the token foreign film. It looks beautiful so far.

Aw this is such a nice thread. I took goofy online quizzes with my sister. I learned that if I was a Disneyland ride, I'd be the Mad Tea Party (true). :D

Re: Frozen Attraction?

^As long as they haven't changed anything since I've been back there, there should be room. I do believe there was some rumours about Maelstrom being rethemed not too long ago. It makes a lot of sense, even if it takes the focus off Norway. Then again, we do have the Three Caballeros showing us arou...

Re: Frozen: Part V

^I think a plot with their parents could be interesting, but having the queen and the closest successor leave the kingdom again wouldn't be a very good idea. To be honest, I can't think of anything I'd particularly like for a sequel. I'd rather have another original movie made by the same crew. I'd ...

Re: Blue Sky to Make Peanuts Movie

I watched it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. It looks flatter than most CG, more like 2D. And the trailer is simple. I realise it's just a teaser, and there could still be some cross-country adventure waiting to happen. But as of now, it looks sweet. :)
