Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
I love this movie but if you live in Europe, haven't seen the movie before and have to import the blu-ray from the US I wouldn't recommend getting it. It is always going be expensive. The DVD is relatively easy to get in most European countries and in some there is the option to watch it on Disney+....

Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
I am more than happy with "regular" blu-ray. 4k isn't even that interesting unless you have a very big screen TV (which I have no space for anyway). I have already seen The Black Cauldron in HD once and it looks gorgeous. I do hope that there will be some extra's on the blu-ray. But that i...

Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
Getting The Black Cauldron in Europe from Ebay is certainly going to be expensive. But for selected titles I feel it is worth it. I recently paid a total of $66.82 (including shipping and duties) to get a copy of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to The Netherlands. In hindsight that was a bit more than ...

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm thinking of maybe investing in a multi-region DVD player . .. .. as I was looking at the price of Snow White on R1 on Amazon.co.uk, and its £18.99 ! ! Thats shocking compared to the R2 ! Multi REgion DVD players cant be that expensive, can they ?? There is a great nu...

I dont know some might say I am crazy but I really never cared much for Snow White . Crazy yes I know its the one that stared it all but it just never has done much for me. Not crazy at all, I completely agree with you...it's not so much the story or the villian, or even the dwarfs (which, in my op...

Hi, That's interesting news for me. Why didn't they include it in the European ed. ??? Don't compare the American and the European editions: they are not the same. The U.S. edition was a limited edition 'expensive' release while the European version was a very inexpensive 'normal' edition. W...

Close Encounters of the Third Kind - 9.5/10 5. 1941 - 7/10 6. Raiders of the Lost Ark - 8.5/10 7. E.T.: The Extra...

As for grain - grain is not a bad thing. Too much grain is bad, but I personally think no grain is almost as bad. While not Disney, I much prefer the UK restoration of Citizen Kane (done by the BFi) rather than the US Lowry one, which removes all grain and makes the film look like modern video. I a...

1. Sleeping Beauty 2. The Jungle Book 3. 101 Dalmatians 4. The Aristocats 5. The Sword in the Stone Sleeping Beauty wins by a very small margin. I love it because of its great animation and backdrops and because the story is so well told. Jungle Book is just great fun en has probably the better and ...
