Re: Rank all the Disney DTV Sequels You've Seen!
Finally got to see Cinderella III. It was really good! Not only did it have great animation but also a very good story. Definitely one of the better direct-to-video sequels.

Re: Rank all the Disney DTV Sequels You've Seen!
Not sure how this came about but right now I am having a lot of fun discovering all the direct-to-video sequels. Never saw any of them before and it strikes me how varied the quality of these releases is: some of them are absolutely terrible while others are almost as good as the original films. The...

Re: Do you still keep a collection of Disney DVDs/BDs/4Ks?
According to the spreadsheet I am maintaining of my collection I own 164 Disney blu-rays and 95 Disney DVD's. I own all Disney animated classics on a physical format and often in multiple versions. The numbers quoted should also include all Pixar releases, quite a few live action features, around 10...

Re: Jim Henson's The Storyteller on DVD
The US version of the blu-ray still isn't available but last year this series got blu-ray releases in both Australia and the UK . I have the Australian version. The picture quality isn't significantly better than the earlier DVD but at least the series is available again. edit: apparently the US rel...

Re: Shakespeare Plays That Could Have Been Adapted as Disney Animated Films
A Midsummer Night's Dream could work as a Disney animated feature. It is one of the more accessible Shakespeare comedies and it has both fantasy, romance and humor. There have already been all sorts of adaptations including a 1999 film that I like a lot. Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing woul...

Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
I love this movie but if you live in Europe, haven't seen the movie before and have to import the blu-ray from the US I wouldn't recommend getting it. It is always going be expensive. The DVD is relatively easy to get in most European countries and in some there is the option to watch it on Disney+....

Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
I am more than happy with "regular" blu-ray. 4k isn't even that interesting unless you have a very big screen TV (which I have no space for anyway). I have already seen The Black Cauldron in HD once and it looks gorgeous. I do hope that there will be some extra's on the blu-ray. But that i...

Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
Getting The Black Cauldron in Europe from Ebay is certainly going to be expensive. But for selected titles I feel it is worth it. I recently paid a total of $66.82 (including shipping and duties) to get a copy of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to The Netherlands. In hindsight that was a bit more than ...

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm thinking of maybe investing in a multi-region DVD player . .. .. as I was looking at the price of Snow White on R1 on Amazon.co.uk, and its £18.99 ! ! Thats shocking compared to the R2 ! Multi REgion DVD players cant be that expensive, can they ?? There is a great nu...

I dont know some might say I am crazy but I really never cared much for Snow White . Crazy yes I know its the one that stared it all but it just never has done much for me. Not crazy at all, I completely agree with you...it's not so much the story or the villian, or even the dwarfs (which, in my op...

Hi, That's interesting news for me. Why didn't they include it in the European ed. ??? Don't compare the American and the European editions: they are not the same. The U.S. edition was a limited edition 'expensive' release while the European version was a very inexpensive 'normal' edition. W...
