I think that, just like Lady and the TRamp, this movie was shot both in fullscreen and widescreen ratios. That would explain the "plant" that doesnt appear on the full screen version. It simply was shot 2 times, being one for home entertainment release and the other one for the movie theat...

They did release an audition thing, describing what they wanted the caharacters to sound like. and Madie (i thinkthats her name) is going to be african-american, as well as more than half of the main characters.

actually this is a test animation from before they "redid" the story. the squirel was supposed to be named Rapunzel, and the girl, Claire. But since it was too "shrek-ish", they decided to make it a fairy-tale story, following the original rapunzel. thank god lol and i think this...
