Re: Tangled (Live-Action)

Imo if they get right the casting of Rapunzel and Eugene, and obviously while being faithful to the rest of the movie, this could be successful and get 1B+. After all we have a princess, a love story, a popular male lead... And the movie is pretty popular in Europe and East Asia afaik I'm curious i...

Re: Rank The Live Action Disney Princes

I only liked Kit and Aladdin

Though I still cringed a little how stereotypical Kit was, Richard Madden still made him very charming

And Mena Massoud imo did the best job in portraying his character among all live action portrayals

Re: Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action)

I'd say it's important for the actors to physically look like the character whether its the same ethnicity or at least close, but I think Disney should have predicted that since the talent pool will be restricted that they will have to put more work themselves whether it's acting classes directing o...

Re: Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action)

yeah that's the problem with children roles... it's not easy to find a talented kid, and since here the casting pool was restricted to only native hawaiians... Despite physically looking like Lilo the kid can't act like her. I wonder if Disney cheapened out or they didnt have time for acting classes...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)

I like the visual around the evil queen, the vibe is appropriate and it looks good. Surprised that they used a byzantine robe but it does looks majestic. Too bad the movie is miscast and Gadot can't carry the role so it will all end flat. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gfa_6EzXkAAPZvL?format=jpg&na...

Re: Tangled (Live-Action)

I wonder if the last live actions flopping would make successful actors and directors avoid disney live actions.

Re: Tangled (Live-Action)

If they do it right this can be successful. The current generation of young adult women grew up with Tangled as their main contemporary romantic disney movie.

Re: Mufasa: The Lion King (Live-Action)

Thank you for the quote. What Hans Zimmer makes sense, another reason why he's one of my favorite composers

And the way he put it, the way new composers interpret the setting gets interesting too as long as they stay faithful to it.

Re: Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action)

I'd rather look at who they cast as Ariel and Snow White, who are an eternity more removed to what they should look like than Nani and Jasmine.

Or the percy jackson cast and so on...

I don't remember that one.
I meant Suzi Yonessi's movie

Though I guess it wasn't confirmed the female lead was a princess but some tweets mentioned she was so idk

I thought the movie about the iranian princess had a chance to be successful. Too bad it got cancelled.

And honestly, the only way to make good stuff is to let people who genuinely respect and love these stories to adapt them, instead of the corporate agenda driven bullshit.

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)

So they went even further insulting the original tale with changing the origin of the name with the surviving winter bullshit. Just how far can you go with the insult? And where are the cultural respect folks,or it's only fine insulting, erasing, replacing and disrespecting european tales? Literally...

Re: Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action)

After seeing the Sonic trailer, I rewatched this teaser along with some clips of Detective Pikachu since it's another popular movie using similar CGI characters - and honestly Stitch in the teaser looked far better than the other two. Not as cartoonish as Sonic, and his expressions were far better t...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)

The collector doll that you talk about it's supossed to be the 17” limited edition doll. The cape is stunning and the details of the birds holding it is lovely. The dress looks really good. The only issue that i have with her is the skirt. It's very yellow in my opinion but I supossed that Disney w...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)

It wasn’t that hard to put some makeup on her to make her actually look like Snow White...
The costumes look funny. Since Cinderella’s blue dress, the costumes are steadily going downhill. They probably won’t mess Moana, but I wonder how they will do with Frozen and Tangled.
