There are a lot of good ideas here, many which are quite obvious. It seems that the general malaise at the company now is due to its becoming too big. The danger that occurs in this is that it breeds incompetance. And being an industry insider, I have numerous references to prove this. It's interest...

Roy Pointer: The answer is kids of the present. Very few of them are exposed to old disney movies like the ORIGINAL Parent Trap, Pollyanna, The Shaggy Dog, etc, etc. I remember once when years ago, they aired Heidi (the one with Jane Seymour) over two nights. I now own that on DVD.I'm going to buy ...

Actually, two songs were derived from the SLEEPING BEAUTY WALTZ, ONCE UPON A DREAM and also, I WONDER, which is the first song heard from Aura when she is introduced at age 16. As for Eugene Ormandy, I had the priviledge of meeting him when I was seven years old. I lived next door to a music student...

Disney Animated Sequels

Disney Movies on TCM
The question is, since Disney has its own cable channel, which used to show these films, why aren't they running them on their own cable channel? When they did, The Disney Channel had more value than it has now. Perhaps Time-Warner gave them a "lucrative deal." It may also have something t...

Newbie
Thanks Jackie Toad! Actually, I am not a newbie here. I have posted several times in the past. I just don't post here that often. Only when I have something Disney related since my activities cover all aspects of animation. So I am definately not a "newbie." Thank you for pointing that out.
