The bonus deleted scene http://notsoplainbutinsanejane.tumblr.com/post/80096379674/halt-you-swine-deleted-scene-from-the-target Yeah, that was very random. :| I think this scene takes place before that other dressing room deleted scene, FYI. Also, the lines: "Halt, you swine!" "Oh de...

Re: Frozen: Part V
anyone else remember the first list of bonus features?? Anyone notice what didn't make it to the final blu ray?? Breaking The Ice – The Real Making Of Frozen is MIA. Guess they decided to hold it for the fall 3D blu release I think something from the original list has been put to DMA instead of on-...

Re: Why are The Rescuers´movies so overlooked?
Was reading through a Box Office Magazine back issue from 1984, like ya do, and this review of The Rescuers reminded me of this thread. http://i.imgur.com/HQ3X2WD.jpg For years and years, this was thought of as being a shining light in the 70s/80s. It's no coincidence that they kept trying to build ...

Re: Frozen: Part V
The character in this clip, on the other hand, is fun to watch, and I love the fact that he's not about to put up with anything from Anna (unlike movie Kristoff, who lets himself be pushed around from pillar to post). I didn't see him as such a pushover. He didn't ever suggest Anna's foolishness fo...

Re: "Now on Videocassette!" Fun with Commercials
Great topic! I love this kind of stuff too. One interesting thing I found last week was home video from VSDA shows, where Disney often had a big presence. Here is one I remember from the top of my head, huge Disney display headlined by the upcoming release of Snow White on VHS in 1994, starts at 4:1...

I'm stuck between the opening of Pinocchio, coming down through the storm, and the storm sequence in The Old Mill.

Re: Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Blu-ray - 2014
So I compared screenshots from the trailer on the 2014 JB DE DVD to the 2008 SB PE DVD. Everything is identical except for the framing. Consistent across every screenshot, the framing in the trailer is opened up a teensy bit on the top and the bottom, almost imperceptibly (I chose this image because...

Re: Live-Action Widescreen and Restored on itunes
No way is Happiest Millionaire the same as the DVD transfer, it is a beautiful new HD transfer that blows both Anchor Bay and Disney DVDs away. The colours are the same and so is the print damage (white speckles) as the DVD, based on the clip itunes shows. It's entierly possible for it to be a high...

Re: Live-Action Widescreen and Restored on itunes
yeah that is interesting.. so, you are saying that "The Happiest Millionaire" is basically the same transfer as what is on dvd already?; there is not picture improvement with "Johnny Tremain", only a wider screen? I am curious about other titles like "Third Man on the Mount...

Re: Live-Action Widescreen and Restored on itunes
I rented The Happiest Millionaire in HD from Amazon a few weeks ago, it looks really great, especially compared to the terrible DVD. I would love to have it on Blu-ray. I probably watched Fortuosity and Let's Have A Drink On It about 5 times before my rental expired to try to get my money of out it.

Re: Jennifer Lee Wants Next Project to Be Sci-fi Blockbuster
I absolutely adore Frozen but I hope if they go in this direction they meticulously study Atlantis and Treasure Planet and use them as examples of how not to make a Disney Sci-fi adventure. I know they have their fans but I would hate to have another dry and boring animated feature with good intenti...

Re: The Ultimate Disney Canon Disc Collection
I'd be tempted if they did faithful transfers for all the films, without the revisionism, but only under that condition.
