Re: The Nintendo Wii is officially done

I didn't own an NES (long before my time) but the last official game for it was Wario's Woods (according to Wikipedia). There have been numerous homebrews and hacks after that, but they don't really count. "Wario's Woods" was the last official game for the NES in the United States, but th...

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)

I don't care if it's 2013 or 2113, wrong will always be wrong and right will always be right. Agreed. You shouldn't present your personal beliefs as undeniable truths. Just because you or your religion claim something is "wrong", it doesn't magically become fact. Anyone can easily argue o...

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)

Well, tonight's episode was very interesting. So far, Season 3 has been really creepy, more so than I expected for sure. Peter Pan being evil is definitely a strange twist, but it makes a weird sort of sense when you think of someone trapped with both the body and mental state of a child. Other than...

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I hope they're not doing what they did with the first Captain America film... This looks like it might be used to set up the second Avengers film. I doubt that. Even in Phase 1, every film had its own core story. The only things that connected any of them to "The Avengers" were small refe...

Re: Will Disney save Star Wars?

I personally enjoyed the prequels (yes, even Jar Jar), and I grew up with the original trilogy on VHS (born in 1980). I'm looking forward to Episode VII, and the fact that all three main cast members are involved makes my inner geek jump for joy. While I respect Disney and Lucasfilm's desire to tell...

Re: The Nintendo Wii is officially done

That's incredible! Do you know the name of the game, so I can look it up for curiousity's sake? Sorry, I don't remember. I read about it in an article a few months back. You mentioned that you had a PSone. Do you remember it fondly or are you indifferent? Personally I feel very nostalgic for the fi...

Re: Greatest Books You've Ever Read

Being a fan of Michael Jackson since I was eight years old, and growing up in a super-religious family, I was heartbroken when the molestation allegations first started in the 1990s. Not knowing the truth was bad enough, but my folks made it worse by standing firm with "anyone who pays out is g...

One of my biggest crushes for several years was Jennifer Love Hewitt. I first saw her on "Kids, Inc.", back when the Disney Channel wasn't mainly geared toward preteen girls. Here's a shot of her from back then... http://25.media.tumblr.com/da773d628728b15269b7a42bfb594229/tumblr_mil5n0Gwa...

Re: The Nintendo Wii is officially done

Sad news about the Wii; I had one for about a year, until it was stolen a few months ago. :( The longest lifespan for a Nintendo console so far has been the NES, which had its last official game produced in 2003, for the Japanese market. That's a period of 18 years, since the system's trial run in C...

Re: Falling In Love With A Married Woman

Pursuing a married woman in any regard is a 100% guaranteed recipe for heartbreak. I should know, having spent several years doing it myself from 2001-2006. Even if the husband's not around, that woman's heart will never be completely yours; the vows she made will always be in the back of her mind.

Re: Walmart the high cost of low prices documentary

I don't shop there for the most part anyway, because they hardly ever have what I'm after, and half of their service lanes are always closed (even at Christmas). Sam Walton would be protesting like crazy if he were still alive; it stuns me that his family doesn't do more to stop this crap.

Re: The Pagemaster on Blu-ray (August 06, 2013)

The film is a classic for early CGI, and the characters are great. The cover does suck; I'd have preferred this one instead.

Re: Star Wars OOT On Blu-ray soon!?!?!

Born in 1980, I grew up with the OT on VHS...and I liked the special editions, except for that stupid musical number in Jabba's Palace. The current Blu-Ray releases are great, though I'd have preferred a more consistent look with the new Emperor hologram in "Empire" (I know it was filmed d...

I know where to get most of them as is, but I really prefer textless for every image. Cloning things out can be a real pain, especially with details like reflections and water.

Re: NBC wants to replace Leno with Fallon as Tonight Show Ho

This development doesn't really surprise me; the NBC execs have been wanting an excuse to oust Leno for the last few years. They made the deal with Conan, but weren't prepared for the negative reaction he rightfully got. They then paid him a ton of cash to leave, and rehired Jay. Its been 3 years, a...
