In Antarctica during the most unforgiving winter on the planet, a member of a scientific research station suffers a sudden accident, forcing the entire team to leave behind their sled dogs. Alone and stranded, the dogs courageously struggle to survive for six months in the intense frozen wilderness, relying only on each other. The intelligent, courageous dogs - including noble pack leader Maya, rambunctious rebel Shorty and rising leader Max - fight overwhelming odds. Driven by unwavering bonds of friendship, both the dogs and their human handlers make incredible journeys to reunite with each other. The talented cast includes Paul Walker, Jason Biggs (“American Pie” trilogy, “Jersey Girl”), Bruce Greenwood (“Capote,” “Thirteen Days”) and Moon Bloodgood (“A Lot Like Love”).
Director/Executive Producer Frank Marshall is one of Hollywood’s most successful filmmakers. He has directed the true-life story “Alive,” the thriller “Arachnophobia” and the action-adventure “Congo,” among others. Frank Marshall has also produced a string of blockbusters, including “Gremlins,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” “The Land Before Time,” the “Back To The Future” trilogy and the “Indiana Jones” trilogy, among many.
