Ratatouille: Guide to Tie-Ins - Books, Toys, Video Games, CDs, and Posters Connected to Disney/Pixar's 2007 Film

June 22, 2007 - Ratatouille, the eighth feature film from Pixar Animation Studios, will open in theaters next Friday with plenty of fanfare. Like any movie expected to be a summer blockbuster, this one is being treated to an elaborate campaign of tie-in merchandise,

from soundtracks and video games to books and toys.

With tales about cars, superheroes, and toys, Pixar's output has often lent itself to obvious and popular retail tie-ins.
Little Chef Remy is one of more than a dozen toys Mattel is producing in conjunction with the theatrical release Disney/Pixar's "Ratatouille."
The story of a rat who wants to be a chef, Ratatouille offers fewer possibilities. Recent reports have announced that Disney intends to capitalize on the movie's world of haute cuisine by selling upscale merchandise with the movie's branding. The company has plans to unveil red and white wines and cheese platters at Costco stores. Some of the items you can expect to see outside the United States include Ratatouille-branded water, tomato sauces, milk, cheese and yogurt at Carrefour outlets.

While certain items will be limited to the retail behemoths with which Disney maintains special relationships, as usual a majority of the common tie-ins -- books, toys, CDs, posters, and video games -- can all be purchased on the Internet and most easily, from this very page.
