Disney soundtracks you may not have (FOR COMPLETISTS ONLY)

Post by herman_the_german »

I went to Disneyland yesterday and got some stuff there I don't think you can get anywhere else but the Disney Parks.

I even got some extra ones in case some of you are interested and do not live close to one of the Disney Parks.

The stuff I got is:

- Pirates of the Caribbean (RedDotNet) $20.00. Which is the entire Attraction soundtrack, plus extras. Audio CD:

The entire Disneyland attraction soundtrack
Music & dialog never heard in the attraction
Original recording sessions w/ Paul Frees
Recordings of Walt introducing "Pirates"

Tracks:

WELCOME
PIRATES OVERTURE
PIRATES FLOAT THROUGH
THE BARKER
A PARROTS LIFE FOR ME
THE ATTRACTION
DEMO OF "YO HO"
YO HO WITH TUBA
THE SINGING DOG
ACCORDION PLAYER
THE DRINKING PIRATE
DRUNK ON LAMPOST
THE SINGING PIGS
PARROT ON BRIDGE
SCARE ME MUSIC
GHOSTLY VOICES
ARSENAL SCENE
POOPED PIRATE
STUFFED PIRATE
VIOCE OVER 1 AUCTION SCENE
VOICE OVER 2
VOICE OVER 3
BANJO IN THE BAYOU
YO HO, A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME
YO HO,THE PIRATES ARCADE

- Disney's Haunted Mansion (RedDotNet) $20.00. Which is the entire Attraction soundtrack, plus extras. Audio CD:

The complete original Disneyland attraction soundtrack
Highlights from Tokyo Disneyland & Disneyland Paris theme ride
Alternate music and narrations
Original radio ads
Sound effects
Out-takes

- Disney's Theme Park Sing-Along (Walt Disney Records) $11.98. Audio CD + Audio Cassette.

Tracks:

It's a small world
Yo ho (it's a pirates life for me)
Grim grinning ghosts
Zip-a-dee-do-dah
Bear Band serenade
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki room
Let's sing like the birdies sing
Casey Junior

The cases do not even come shrinkwrapped, this is the way they sell them at the theme park. About three years ago they even had a thing where you could customize your audio CD by selecting only the tracks you wanted (from either of the rides), but now they have stopped that option (or at least I didn't see it on this trip).

Drop me a line if anybody is interested. Otherwise I'll simply put them on Amazon.

Disneyland Forever, again

Mouse Planet reports:

"We reported in August that Disneyland was working on a new version of the Disneyland Forever music CD system. The new system is finally here, and has been installed in 20th Century Music on Main Street, USA.

The return of the Disneyland music kiosks has made some fans very happy.

The new system does not offer “mix your own” CDs that the previous version had. Instead, it offers pre-mixed CDs of Disneyland attractions, movie soundtracks, park music CDs from Walt Disney World, and children's titles. Many of these titles are out-of-print LP records and soundtracks from the Buena Vista library. More titles are expected to be added in January.

Each CD is made to order, with customized color liner notes for each title. The new system is faster, producing a CD in about two minutes. Unfortunately, the new system has one thing in common with its predecessor: it breaks down a lot."

Good news!

There's a few soundtracks that I wish Disney FINALLY released them on CD. They are from some animated films and although you can find some songs compiled in some Disney cd sets, I wish the whole thing was available in individual cds, w/ the score included...

- THE SWORD IN THE STONE has beautiful songs and many of them were not in the movie. The score is great.
- MAKE MINE MUSIC
-MELODY TIME
-SALUDOS AMIGOS AND THE 3 CABALLEROS have outstanding music and instrumentals.

Oh well, let me keep on dreaming that it will be released by Disney Records...
Sanctuary! Please, give me Sanctuary!

I agree with you on those. I'm going to Disneyland on Sunday, I'll check to see if any of those are on the available selections.

I have the CD Sing along Theme Park and the promo version of the Epcot Millenium Celebration CD. The music that really interests me is the ambient music loops that they play in the backgrounds of WDW.

This is a link to an online radio station I listen to:

All park music, all the time. Here is a site with some of the background music tracks:

Disneyland Forever Music CD System

OK, I went there and came back. Lots of ashes & dust in the morning but it improved as the day went on.

The Disneyland Forever has all the (old) Disney Parks Album CD's including Tiki Room & Disney Electrical Parade CD's. Also the Holiday Edition of the Haunted House.

Other stuff they got was the Nightmare Before Xmas & the Roger Rabbit Soundtracks.

I got the Electrical Parade and the Roger Rabbit one, I was looking for that last one forever!

The most wanted Disney Soundtrack I want to see on CD is the origoinal soundtrack of The One And Only Genuine Origional Family Band.
