Hey at least it's not a remake! I don't see a problem with this, hopefully it would give the film more fans and as long as the original was never done away with, I see no problem!

If people are interpreting that I hate the idea 100%, I don't. I generally like it, it just seems a bit weird...

Well yes, but I think it'll only enhance the whole experience. Dumbo sounds like a strange movie to start with though!

Dumbo in 3D, that's gonna be interesting but it won't shock me because I've seen other Disney characters in 3D before.

I've seen the 3D animated Dumbo from the Disney Resort's 50th Anniversary commercials... but he scared me. The 3D Stitch wasn't bad at all, though.

I'm actually very intrigued by the idea. In my opinion, this is much better than remaking those films in CGI because you're still see the hardwork that the artists put into them, just in a new light. I find the choice of starting with Dumbo to be very bizarre, though. Peter Pan would make a much better starting point, in my opinion. Can you imagine that shot of the children flying past the camera towards the end of "You Can Fly..." in 3-D? It could be absolutely amazing. I don't know how well the general public would respond to this new wave of re-releases, though.

Interesting concept, but I don't think I will be running out to see a re-release of Dumbo in 3D.

I think it's a weird idea, but also an interesting idea. But why Dumbo? I'm not saying that Dumbo is a bad picture, but wouldn't be better if they used a movie that has more action and more effects like Fantasia. Actually, Walt Disney actually wanted the Tocatta in Fugue in D Minor in 3-D, but Walt couldn't afford to do it. I think that this IMAX 3-D thing could be pretty revolutionary in watching these classic films again on the silver screen.

I think Dumbo in 3-D is just plain silly. I can't exactly describe why it is silly, it just is. :P

this will be something than all we are going to forget in a few time...
I don´t really see a future in taking this films on 3D, because you can see them on the Movie theater and that´s it.No 3D in your home so the magic just vanish

So the whole movie will be 3D? Even the backgrounds? I don't think I could stand that because I'm so used to seeing it in 2D. I'm sorry but that will just drive me to the "nut house."

I am now actually excited about this idea. I can just imagine how it would feel like to fly through London's sky!

Or the "make her mine" Frollo´s song in 3D--you got to admit, that scene with the gregorian monks appearing from nowhere it´s great

TARZAN should be the first! The Deep Canvas effects would be so cool on IMAX.

This will be cool to see. I really like seeing classic characters in 3D like in the Disneyland commercial or with Mickey and the gang in Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. And I bet the movie will have a bigger audience because everyone seems to like CGI better nowadays.

I think some people are getting hold of the wrong end of the stick here.

The news is talking about the original 2D film of Dumbo in 3D, as in Spy Kids 3D. You know where you wear the glasses and it appears as if things are coming out of the screen at you.

Not CGI, as in Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas or the DisneyLand commercial.

:thumb: I support this idea 100% it would be so cool to see it in 3-D like when the family is surfing in the waves having them pop out. it would be really nifty, but I guess I could see why they would want to do Dumbo as a 3-D effect.
