
They always talk about preserving their works for future generations, what better way to do this than by immortalising them on DVD?
OK, I see the point that they are "special" and they don't want to be ruined by being seen everywhere all the time. I also realise it's really good marekting for Disney and will rake in mountains of cash.
I'm sure there are millions of people who thirst for Beauty And The Beast or Fantasia on DVD, but can't because they are out of print.
Overall, I'm frustrated but I understand Disney's standpoint. I supopose the marketing is working though. Since many DVD's are limited I have become obsessed with acquiring them! After all there is an entire forum and website devoted to Disney DVD's! They have such a grip on us, which I supppose is what they wanted. If so, kudos on a successful marketing idea!
I just wish I could have every Disney classic I guess!
