Lion King Trilogy
Is anyone buying the Lion King Triology. I am completing mine tomorrow. I seen the last few copies and they are really cheap. But I guess they're going fast since they're going back into the Disney vault at the end of January.
Good luck to all of you people, like myself that are scrambling to get your copies. Cheers.

i already have all 3 Lion Kings on DVD, but it is stuff like this that makes me want to go back and buy a 2nd copy as back-up. i don't let people even glance at Snow White PE because alot of people like it, and poeple have asked me to let them barrow it, but i bought way after it went to the vault and it cost me $30.00, one video store still has one copy left for $40.00.Christian wrote:My nephew's friends borrowed TLK 1.5 from me then lost it.
considering how Lion King is going to go OOP and are reduced price at some places, i might just pick up the 1st one, 1 1/2 and 2 can wait. i rather buy it now then wait like Snow White and Beauty and the Beast and pay about $30.00 each.

Eh, I'll get The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride on eBay. I don't care too much for The Lion King 1 1/2 but I may as well snatch that up too since it's going on the vault and to round out my collection.
I actually liked TLK 2... Am I one of the only ones who did? I thought it was one of the better Disney dreck-to-videos and I found the characters likeable (especially Kovu, that li'l runt). Nowhere near the majesty of its parent film (of course), but highly enjoyable nonetheless.

Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.
I agree it was a good film in terms of atmosphere. I think the image of the film has been degraded because of the many Disney dreck-to-videos that came after and stole TLK 2's basic storyline.Key wrote:Eh, I'll get The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride on eBay. For one thing only the Aladdin Sequels, The Beauty and the Beast sequels, some Pooh sequel and Pocahontas 2 came out before LK2. In terms of animation, it was one of the first to be done by Disney's best TV animation studio in Australia. Although I think the character coloring was a bit off (it lacked bright and bold colors). Aside from the damage to Simba's character, its a very beautiful sequel.
I think this is because Australia didn't have a CAPS system until recently. (They got one or two from the closed US Animation studios).toonaspie wrote:Although I think the character coloring was a bit off (it lacked bright and bold colors). But I'm almost sure "Simba's Pride" was produced with the CAPS system. I mean, even "Pocahontas II" and "The Enhanted Christmas" were.2099net wrote:I think this is because Australia didn't have a CAPS system until recently.
