Kind Words Needed
Kind Words Needed
I would like to make a suggestion to everyone who reads this & hopefully more suggestions can be added. As our fellow Americans are fighting overseas & sacrificing their lives to make this world a better place, we too can do our part by remembering that the people we see each day mowing their lawn, washing their car, buying a loaf of bread at the store, etc. are our neighbors, friends & community. Please take a moment to say hello & some other kind words. Those few words you speak could make that person's day a bit brighter & it could be the start of a lifelong friendship. I always say "hi", "how are you" & "have a nice day" each time I see someone & I always feel great about having done it. Please try it & see for yourselves what positive effects it has in your lives. Thank You.---Bill
We are all brothers & sisters on this planet earth. We must plant the seeds of love today for our children's tomorrow.

American soldiers fighting to make the world a better place? I dont think so. They are fighting for oil and defence contractors. If they were fighting for Iraqis or the world they would not be currently building four permanent military bases.
Realistic words are needed not kind ones.

Actually they are just fighting Muslim terrorists. strangely, the al Queda is spead out through the world and Sudaam Hussein was using some of the terrorists to scare his people into liking him. In some way, this war is not about gaining oil or defence contractors. It's about ending terrorism in the world. There are hypocrites that are the ones saying that Bush is attacking Iraq just for oil.JimmyJackJunior wrote:American soldiers fighting to make the world a better place? I dont think so. It's so nice that we get along here in the forums. But we need to increase our social skills. I see too many people continuing the cycle of ignorance in the world. This is not a good or healthy thing. Not for us or our children. If you say hi to a person you pass on the street & they don't answer back, don't worry! you may have started that person on the road to feeling happier & maybe one day, he or she will greet you first.---Bill

I, for one, certainly hope that once the election is over with that we can come back together. I've read stories in my newspaper about vandals ripping off campaign signs (Kerry signs in overly Repulican neighborhoods, Bush signs in Democratic neighborhoods). I put off placing a bumper sticker on my car because I was afraid it would get vandalized. I finally put it on for this weekend only, I hope my car makes it through the weekend.
Has this what it has come down to?
Whoever wins, I hope some healing can be brought to the country, and please at least try to be polite to one another. You may not agree with the person standing next to you on issues like the war in Iraq, the economy or social issues but calling a person names, stealing their lawn sign or vandalizing their property does not solve anything, it only deepens the divide.

If that is Bush's true agenda explain the necessity for four permanent military basis? Not temporary ones to stabalize the country, permanent ones all very close to the Syrian and Iranian borders.Uncle Remus wrote:

I agree with you totally. And it goes far deeper than that, to the total erosion of free speech in America.I am the Doctor wrote:I, for one, certainly hope that once the election is over with that we can come back together. That I agree with you 100% on. My original response should have taken into account the good parts of your message as well. Cheers and Peace.BILLONEE wrote:It's so nice that we get along here in the forums. But we need to increase our social skills. I see too many people continuing the cycle of ignorance in the world.
