Book Of Pooh DVD...

Post by STASHONE »

Is this the same as those live-action Winnie The Pooh segments that used to air on the Disney channel in the 80's - I think? where the fat British guy in the red sweater would introduce each story and than live action characters dressed in costumed would act out each story with singing, etc as it was being narrated? It was similair to the other Disney series of that time, Dumbo's Circus... Is this the same thing?

No, it's not. The 1980's Disney Channel series was called (I think) "The House at Pooh Corner". "The Book of Pooh" is only about 2-3 years old, and its segments feature Pooh and Co. as puppets using an ancient form of Japanese puppetry called Bukuru (spelling?). The backgrounds of the Hundred Acre Wood are added digitally.
