Is this another example of MMB bringing attention to himself with the dubious honour of having a lot of DVDs?

"Hey, look at me - I have heaps of stuff!"

This is really OT anyways.

The link to mine's in my sig. :D I've got 17 animated classics (if you count both Fantasias separately even though I have them as one item) and 8 live action films. All together I have 78 DVD's if you count each box set as one item.

Because:
a) you constantly feel the need to validate yourself through references to yourself in the third person or subject heading;
b) you constantly feel the need to validate yourself via stating what DVDs you own;
c) you leave yourself open to it by doing (a) and (b) above.

8)

And this is still way off topic.

LOL Loomis! I don't really like it when people draw attention to themselves on a forum either. 8) Does it really matter how many you have as long as you have dvds you can enjoy? Some people... :lol:

Stop what Bill? We are just having a conversation, no one is attacking. If you didn't want to be a part of the conversation you shouldn't have posted...that's all.

And I STILL say this should be moved to OT.

Yeah, you can check my sig as well. I'm not sure how many total DVDs I have, or even how many total Disney DVDs I have, but at last count, I had 14 animated classics.

I thought a constructive way to look at and admire/critique one another's DVD collections (I see nothing wrong with being proud of a collection of something you enjoy to collect) was the "Best 3, Worst 3, Need 3" thread (good idea, whoever came up with that), but so many of the members here have such massive DVD collections that it was just too difficult to pull off. Maybe a general critique or something would work better?

My DVDs are in the siggy link as well.

BUT...

If we were talking about VHS tapes...at last count, I had 485 that are used to tape soap operas. Sad, isn't it.

(A)I don't know what you mean Loomis since I barely talk about myself or even post at all
(B) I also don't talk about my DVD collection till now cause I barely post.

Oh really?

20/20 - The departure of MMB - with 2099net - a MMB Prod.™

MMBoy Presents HTF's: Brother Bear DVD Review (actually someone else's review, but he felt the need to include his name)

MMBoy Presents: Splash - 20th Anniversary Edition DVD Review (actually someone else's review, but he felt the need to include his name)

MMBoy Presents: Master and Commander - 2 Disc DVD Review (actually someone else's review, but he felt the need to include his name)

MMBoy Winnie The Pooh - Springtime with Roo DVD Review

MMBoy Weekly Pre-Streets DVD mini-reviews

MMBoy Lion King 1 1/2 DVD Review!

I have Lion King 1 1/2 DVD!!!! Must READ! (by MBB - a blatant attention grabber if ever I saw one!)

MMBoy gets pirates!

MMBoy Weekly DVDs

MMBoy gets Lion King DVD - another attention grabber. This one turned out to mean MMB didn't actually HAVE the DVD, but he WOULD be getting a copy. Like, you know, the REST of us.

And I also left out at least another dozen where you have put MMB gets.. or MMB Reviews in the title.

So, not talking about yourself or bringing attention to yourself, aren't you?

Also, the "I barely post" comment doesn't really hold up when you have 2316 posts to your name (as of this post). Now you'll say I have a lot of posts too - which is true. But not many of mine have my name in the thread title or discuss how wonderful I am because I just got this or that DVD.

Keep it real, folks!

Well, the top post was less than a month ago (and was quite sad too - an interview with yourself!!! No better than Remus holdinig a poll about his own false departure).

And they aren't personl reviews! You had to change the title to "Presents..." because we caught you out (cutting and pasting) the first time round!

And the others were simply to show that you do talk about yourself a fair bit. The issue is not when, but how much.

The fact that you are still posting in this very thread about yourself (Look at me! I have DVDs!) shows it is still going. Therefore, a very current trend. All I did was show it was not simply a one off on the part of Mickey"Look at me" Mouse Boy!
