Beauty and the Beast: The enchanted Christmas Thread

Post by Thumper_93 »

I was looking for the thread of this movie and I couldn't find it.

Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas is a direct-to-video film set within the timeline of the original Beauty And The Beast. The story revolves around Belle’s attempt to bring holiday cheer to the Beast’s castle, despite opposition from Forte, an enchanted pipe organ who fears Christmas will weaken his hold over the Beast. The movie features returning voice talents including Paige O'Hara and Robby Benson.

I loved this movie when I was a kid and I always watch it when Christmas arrives. There's no a better plan that watching Christmas movies in the sofa with a warm blanket.

You should watch it again! In my opinion it's a great sequel. I also watched a making off that was included in the last DVD released by Disney and they did a great job with the backgrounds and other things. I think that you are going to enjoy it!

I do remember thinking the animation looks great, and the characters are drawn very well and are on-model, which is very surprising for a direct-to-video feature.

Belle looks better in some parts of the film than in the original one. In the classic movie her face is off model too many times

This was one of the few offshoots from that time that I unabashedly liked. Of course, it's never on the originals level, but it's nice as a TV show or movie-type of addition. Plus, I always thought Forte was an interesting villain, just to give you a servant who wasn't as forgiving of the Beast getting them all cursed as the rest were and who was as bitter about their lot in life as Beast himself was.

I agree about Forte. He was very interesiting and his hate for the Beast was reasonable. Not all the servants on the castle would love him. He condemned all of them to be under a spell because of his behaviour and adding characters that are against him even before the spell was a great idea.
I also like the idea of telling the story with a flashback. It expands the story during the spell and at the same time we can watch Belle and the Prine enjoying their first christmas together with him as a human and not as a Beast. The moment when he gave a rose to her was really cute. One of my favourites parts from the movie.
