Amazon raises its Free Shipping threshold to $49

Post by Disney's Divinity »

Anyone else pissed about this? I can't believe just two years ago it was $25, and now it's doubled. I've read they keep raising it in an attempt to get more people to join Amazon prime. All I can say is fat chance there.

I'll still buy from Amazon, but I'll have to make it much less often and only when I can't get the items from the Barnes and Noble site for the same price.

This coming from mister I never shop online, after you got overcharged for something. Never thought I'd see this.

Yeah, I'm not paying $99 for Prime. On some of the forums I visit, a lot people with Prime don't even get their items in the guaranteed 2 days.

I know the raise to a $49 minimum for free shipping is a ploy to get people to buy Prime, but I'm not biting. Plus, I have zero interest in streaming music or movies (I have Spotify, Hulu Plus, and Netflix for that), so even that aspect of Prime is meaningless. I'll just have to order from B&N, where I do have a member card (and, even if I didn't, $25 is the minimum for free shipping).
