I know this is Off Topic and already appears on the Off Topic Board, but incase you only browse this board I just thought you should know:
Oh My God! I just saw Friday The 13th for the first time. Man that movie is Awesome! I was beginning to lose faith that I would ever be scared by a scary movie, but man when Jason jumped out of the water and pulled the girl in, I yelled pretty loudly and jumped a few feet up into the air!!! The Coolest part was that it took place Friday June 13th “present day”. Of course that was present day 80’s but it is also present day today, incase you hadn’t noticed. I think it would have been so cool if they had released the special edition today, I bet it would have flown off the shelves. God, that was soo cool. I think this is the movie every teen slasher film should aspire to be. (Well, I don’t know, it might be, but I think it should get some recognition. I have never heard this being acknowledged as one of the scariest movies on those lists, of the scariest movies. Maybe I’ve just missed it, but you can bet this will be one of my future purchases. Hopefully a special edition will be out SOON!!!!

Friday The 13th
Defy Gravity
It will be out in Spetember in the UK (where Warners not Paramount hold the rights to the film). Paramount has indicated that Special Editions of the films may be released in the US in 2004.
To "Disney" this topic - how many parodies of Friday 13th has there been in Disney films?
Mickey's House of Villains includes a segment where Donald dresses up to scare his nephews and he wears a hockey mask just like Jason does (in the later Friday films).
Any more?

See, I think the whole Mighty Ducks series was a subtle tribute to the Friday the 13th series.
The hockey masks, the violence, children you wanted to kill...
Seriously.
Think about it.
BTW, I responded to the Off Topic version of this post, but I think something went wrong and it didn't go. Can't remember what I typed exactly, but I mentioned something about looking forward to 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' being available on DVD in September.
