You consistently clutch at the flimsiest of straws on most threads here to support what are arguably your hopes and wishes, rather than what has been corroborated by reputable sources.
Don't get me wrong - it's fine to be hopeful. But make sure hope it doesn't make you irrational.
By the way, I trust you did not go through with your plan to help market Wish by dressing up as the Star character and greeting people on the street. Unless Disney are paying you for it, don't go marketing their movie. They can damn well do that themselves! Remember they don't give you their Blu-rays for free. You pay for them, right?
Forgive me for asking, but how old are you? I get a feeling you may be among our younger members, which may be why you still have stars in your eyes when it comes to the Walt Disney Co.
Have fun watching movies! But try to remain objective.
And, I only dressed up as Star once, while in NYC, but only when getting Ariana DeBose's autograph as she went in on Good Morning America, which she was amazed by and loved.
Also, I'm sorry, Jules, but I cannot in good conscience give up on what I believe I know in that hand-drawn animation will come back at Disney. Everything I've heard regarding the Disney+ Tiana series, whether it be from Grace Randolph, iCritic, Eric Goldberg, Jennifer Lee, and more, imply it WILL be hand-drawn animated. If that series can be a success for Disney+ in ratings, along with Once Upon a Studio winning Best Animated Short at the Oscars (which Variety is forecasting will happen), then there's a chance Disney will bring back hand-drawn animation in time for the scale of a feature-length film like maybe The Search for Mickey Mouse in Q4 2028 with the directors of Once Upon a Studio, hand-drawn animator Eric Golberg, and either composer Richard Sherman, Randy Newman, or Alan Menken working on the movie for Mickey Mouse's 100th birthday.
Let me make my intentions clear.
We are GOING to bring hand-drawn animation at Disney on a bigger scale BACK.
And we DON'T STOP fighting for that until we do.
Through pressure, outcry, and refusal to quit, we'll win.
So, let's not give up and continue to fight for the existence of hand-drawn animation at Disney. If we stick together, we'll win.
