Disney Educational DVDs

Post by mitch_evers »

Hello!

I used to post here fairly regularly but have not posted in many years. I do still visit from time to time to check out info on new releases from Disney Exclusives as this seems the best source.

Anywho, I just thought I would post to give you all heads up on the Disney Educational titles available for pre-order on Amazon, as no-one else here seems to have noticed.

'Light in the Forest' and 'Driver Safety' (including the Goofy 'Freewayphobia' shorts missing from the Treasures set) are, for me, the highlights, but loads of other titles previously only available at pretty hefty prices from the Disney website are also present. Release date is 1st of May and the pre-order price is $20.99 each.

These DVDs were impossible for me to import to the UK so hopefully this wider release will make other vintage Disney nuts as happy as me!
See ya real soon!

If they are sold directly from Amazon I don't think importing would be any problem.

Keep us up to date on this. I'd love to have these as well. They say that Amazon does this sort of thing on a regular basis.

Educational Edition DVDs

I sure didn't see those titles on Amazon.

And, I don't know why Disney won't release "The Light in the Forest" as a Disney Movie Club Exclusive since they already have the movie on disk -- but it wouldn't be "exclusive" would it?

Maybe it could be published under the Generations Collection.

I think they are in fact holding "The Light in the Forest" for a future DMC or GC release. I can honestly say I don't know of anything for it up-coming, but let's see where we are in a year. Remember that "Justin Morgan" went from an Education DVD to a GC DVD, and "Forest" is a bigger film.
