Again here we go with abbreviations that some of us don't understand. What the heck does DIC stand for?

UD members seem to rely on the fact that everyone understands what ALL of the abbrevisation they use are recognized by everyone, and to me, it is just a form of laziness to write out the full name before resorting to the abbreviation or acronym of a subject - such as DCOM, WDAC, BotB, DOM, and things like that - I have never quite understood why these acronyms or abbreviations are supposed to be so cool!!

For us uninformed could you please spell out your subject before reverting to a non-understandable abbreviation or acronym? Please!!!

DiC stands for...DiC.

You might want to do some research first before going on rants.

I'm surprised anyone who considers themselves an animation fan wouldn't know who they are considering they had such big shows as Inspector Gadget, M.A.S.K., Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Heathcliff, The Real Ghostbusters, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Sailor Moon, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Dennis the Menace, Sonic the Hedgehog, and many others.

No!!! Not kidding!!!! Never heard of DiC, what does that stand for?

And all of those other acronyms and abbreviations that everyone else throws out there. How do I do research when I don't know what it is that I am looking up.

Technology passed me by a long time ago, and the more I try to catch up the farther behind I get.

DiC went by DiC. They didn't go by anything else (unless you want to count "DIC Entertainment"). It basically stood for Diffusion, Information et Communication, but hardly anybody knows that, because they never actually went by that.

The only cartoon shows on your list that I recognize are Alvin & The Chipmunks, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, and Sonic the Hedghog. Didn't know there was ever a Dennis the Menace cartoon show. So I am not what you would term an animation fan.

REALLY? I loved that show growing up! I really want it out on DVD. Maybe later?

I have not seen the Heathcliff cartoon in ages (I saw it in reruns since I was too young to see it when it first aired). I remember the theme song and that he had a weird laugh. There were also two kids, I think.

I am sooo annoyed with DIC for never releasing the complete Sabrina the Animated Series (nor ANY of the sequel series I've hardly seen at all), but releasing TONS of DVDs with only a few episodes (and a couple with a lot, but not complete). I have all but two (A Touch of Magic, and the 32 ep. Volume 1) of their many DVDs from that show. I suppose once I get the last two, the complete series will come out... Well, maybe they will eventually follow up that fairly recent "Volume 1" release...

Even though it isn't great in a lot of ways, I definitely wanna get Archie's Weird Mysteries. There are a lot of things I do like about it. I wouldn't mind Heathcliff either, but S. 1 V. 1? I never get them when they break up the seasons... I'll probably wait quite a while on that.

Never watched Dennis the Menace (the DiC one, I mean), but I wouldn't mind getting that one. If they ever released Care Bears and Chipmunks, I definitely would get them. I've got the first 2 volumes of Real Ghostbusters and want the rest (but how many are released so far? Outside of the Time Life set, I mean...).

More than anything though, and I guess they can't do this legally anymore (but I wish they'd work something out), I wish they'd rerelease their Sailor Moon dub in a complete, affordable set! That would just be the greatest thing ever to me! I know it's an inferior version of the show, but for me, well, that's how I got into it.

And, on the subject of these old cartoons I love, why the heck can't Teen Wolf the animated series get a U.S. release?!!! I don't think it was DiC (I think it was Hanna Barbera), but man, I WANT that one!

I recommend that you ask them about Sabrina on their facebook page. They have been pretty good lately about answering questions there.

Some news from their facebook page:

Question)Will you be releasing complete series sets of both Pole Position and Get Along Gang? Each show was 13 episodes each and I'd like to have all the episodes on DVD. thanks.

Mill Creek)Yes, later this year. We'll keep you posted.

It'd be even nicer to get them both together but...

Getting either one out there'd be great.
