Cleaning up the 'Chat thread'?

Post by Goliath »

Lazario came up with this idea: why not have a moderator 'cleaning up' the Chat Thread in Off-topic? I'm not normally a fan of mods deleting messages, but I think in this case it doesn't matter, because it's all announcements that a person is in the chat at that moment, and now they don't make sense anymore, but the thread is at page 41.

If this is too much trouble for the mods (which I understand), I'll open a new thread.

You can definitely open a new thread if you'd like, but I don't think deleting or splitting posts like mentioned is worth the time required to do it.
