*melts* The little Princesses are adorable! Ariel is my favorite! Mulan looks how Shanti from The Jungle Book would look as a little girl. Pocahontas looks like Lilo when Lilo wears a solemn expression.

I sat there for a minute trying to figure out who that girl was that looked like Shanti. I came to this thread just to figure out who it was. Very cute.Sky Syndrome wrote:*melts* The little Princesses are adorable! Ariel is my favorite! Mulan looks how Shanti from The Jungle Book would look as a little girl. The one with little Belle is a bit different. One thing to notice: the only Disney princess we've ever seen moving in this stage of life is Tiana (though she may have been a tad older in the movie). I don't count in Rapunzel, since we only see her as a newborn baby and next as a teenager.

My new avatar and sig come from one of my favorite all time illustrators as a child - Sheilah Beckett. She illustrated dozens of fairy tale books that I have, and I just adore her art style. It reminds me of Eyvind Earle type of character designs fused with Mary Blair colors. I decided to go with a prince/king motif for my sig. From left to right are her illustrations of the fairy king Oberon of A Midsummer's Night Dream, the Prince of Sleeping Beauty, the Prince of the 12 Dancing Princesses, the Prince of Little Mermaid, and Theseus of A Midsummer's Night Dream.

It is completely different actually! For Belle, Mark Henn drew two versions of her as a child; one with her holding a book and one with her holding a teapot and a teacup (alluding of course to Mrs. Pots and Chip). I don't have a large version of Belle holding a book, though. The only one I've found was this:BelleGirl wrote:The one with little Belle is a bit different.

For the record, Glen Keane drew Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel while Mark Henn drew Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, and Tiana.

But we do see Rapunzel as a child even if it is just briefly:

I think I need to see Tangled/Rapunzel again to catch it!Sotiris wrote:It is completely different actually! I finally got around to making a banner button for my website, which went online in October. The site may not look THAT great, I don't know html, but the main thing is the comic strip, not the wallpaper and all that stuff. Maybe I'll get someone to work on the rest later or figure it out myself.
