Drawing online with Artpad

Post by Elladorine »

I was thinking this is something a lot of us could have fun with. Not only can you draw on this site, you or anyone you link to can play back the process, so in effect you can sit back and watch how the drawing is made. And in addition to doing your own drawing, you can take someone else's and add to it.

Try it out, it's really fun. :)

Oh, and be sure to hit "Save & Send" before hitting "Replay," otherwise you won't be able to get a link for your drawing.

This is a screencap of a sketch I did last night. To watch it from the beginning, here's the link: http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?kk34kl1kbqaw

It's freaking hard drawing with a mouse so I made a painting instead :). Here's my attempt at Flounder:

Nicely done!!! Flounder looks cute and the background looks great. :D Plus I know how hard it is to draw with a mouse. :)

Mooks, seems like you were getting very imaptient with the paint in the beginning. First you're slow, then *pading* ... you're off like a runaway paint bucket! :P

Anyway ... here's mine. Anybody who knows me fairly well should recognise this freak of nature: http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?kk7q5o19ly6o

Wow, that looks great! I wish I was that patient with a mouse.

And thanks, enigmawing!

We use to do these all the time on a forum I used to do. Here's mine-

I forgot to do the background, though.

There's something weirdly good-looking in your cartoon self, Joe. I think I'm gonna print it out and make out with it. :P

Oh, I look like a pirate... :shifty:

Either way, I don't entirely look like either in real life. I have to admit that I aibrushed myself somewhere in the process. :P

That was fun! I don't know why I drew what I drew... just been watching a lot of basketball and cartoons, I guess.

I am no artist, but I just love to draw, paint and color and have fun doing it.

This is my first "Princess and the Frog" Fanart I've ever done. Its very, very crude but done with a lot of love.

Ok. So first I was "hmmm ....", then "Oooookay ....", and then I turned into a gigglefest when you started writing out the speech bubbles! You're so cute!
I learned two things from this:

1. You still have your moustache. :P
2. You discriminate against other Nintendo consoles!! Blatant motherboardism!
I think it looks especially beautiful if you select the "fast" setting and watch it become gradually more and more defined! You did a great job on the hair! I'm just surprised you didn't use "your" eyes. I mean, you have a very particular way of drawing eyes - in that you usually give your cartoon creations realistically proportioned eyes. You broke your tradition here. :P

I broke my tradition? I've just been trying to do different things lately, and I was going for the whole "window-box" eye thing on Ariel. :D
