Is this your first Surgery?

If it is....you won't feel a thing when they operate...Literally It will be over before you know it...one minute your being sedated and then almost it seems like 5 minutes for you that you wake up...wondering when it's happening and the doctor will tell you it's done....though in reality it won't take 5 minutes but for you it will seem like it...

Also I am just curious.....what kind of or what for are you having this Rhino-Plasty Surgery...and it's okay if you would rather keep that to yourself....and I hope you don't take offense to me asking

I've been reassured many times. I'll be severely limited in activities for about 1-3 weeks afterward.

Yeah, I know. I'm feeling more positive now, and I already had my wisdom teeth pulled.

It's okay, it's no secret. I broke my nose when I was about two(tripped on a curb or something), and it sorta stayed that way: all blocked up and humpy. I'm having the bone taken out, as it will be problematic later if I wait, and I'm also seizing the opportunity to have my nose shrunk a little bit. :shifty:

Surgery can definitely be scary, but as disneyboy pointed out, you fall asleep and then you wake up and you think, "Did it start yet?" If you have to go to school shortly after the surgery, though, just know that people will surely ask you what happened to you- that happened to me in 8th grade...people I had never really spoken with were curious about my face, haha (I had eye surgery that made my eye sort of black and blue). But since it's a routine procedure, hopefully you'll feel more confident! Good luck! :)

I hope it turns out looking good. :)

If it makes you feel any better, I used to get teased about my lips when I was at high school, and it made me feel so insecure that I started researching lip reduction, and I asked my parents for it, but they always told me that it's normal and that I was being delusional, I guess now maybe I might have just excepted the fact that I'm always gonna look like that, but if I still feel insecure about it at college then maybe I might consider getting them tweaked, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I won't be going back to school for another week afterwards, but I'm sure that's what'll happen. I chose the normal anesthetic, anyway.

I'd like to post before and after pictures as soon as I can, but nobody's told me how to upload personal photos to the site.

One positive thing to think of is that you'll look insanely hot like you've never looked before when your nose heals!

Get well soon! :)

The recovery's gone quite well. Had the splints taken out on Tuesday(ouch). Now the swelling's going down. Another week, and I'll post a pic!

I remember getting my wisdom teeth out. That was worse: a diet of pudding and milkshakes.

As for being back, I did not go anywhere all week.

It's amazing the difference in how much I can breathe now...or on tuesday, at least. The swelling's still gotta go down.
