A stroll down memory lane...

Post by vezner »

When I was a kid, I used to wake up to this...

And you know, it's really a shame that Disney channel isn't this anymore:

And it's a shame that great shows like this seem to be forgotten:

And who didn't love this when they were a kid in the 80s?

Ahh...the memories. At least Disney has released the Disney Treasures which allow me to share some of the great Vintage Disney classics with my kids.

Anyway, just thought I'd share my little youtube stroll down memory lane. :P

WUZZLES!

I remember renting the videos which contained two episodes a piece. They were so much fun! My favorite episode is the one where there's a Halloween festival. The gang wants to buy costumes, but don't have any money. They try to come up with ways to raise money, but all end in failure. But then they meet a new neighbor with money that literally grows on trees.

Too bad the show was a flop and ended too soon :( .

I absolutely adored "Dumbo's Circus"!!! I feel like I've told this story on UD, but when I was in 1st grade, I told my mom that I didn't feel good so I could stay home from school and watch "Dumbo's Circus". Once the show was over, I told my mom that I felt better, and I went to school.

And I loved "Pooh's Corner" and "The Wuzzles", and "Kids, Incorporated", which was shown in the 1988 commercial, I think.

I sang along to all three of the theme songs, too...I do miss the old Disney Channel! Even though "The Wuzzles" was on network TV...

My number one is Ducktales, I just loved that show. Number two Rescue rangers, number tree Gummibears. But I never really cared much about the wuzzels, I did watch the show, but I never missed it, once it was cancelled.

You know what, I have the entire Hercules Electrical Parade. I taped it off the Disney Channel in 1997. I've seen it sooooooo many times since then. It was GREAT.
