The Princess Bride: 20th AE - comments on site's review

First of all, I only own this DVD because I won it in an online contest. (I also have the Dread Pirate Edition.)

I read the review and saw that the reviewer, whoever it is (Can't remember.), had said that it's the same transfer as the 2-Disc releases. Except I'm not so sure I agree, as it seemed to look quite a bit better. Especially since the video took up more space on this DVD than the 2-Disc sets. (Both discs in the 2-Disc set were merely single-layer discs, and the video for the 2006 DVDs seemed to be under 3 GB, while the video on the new DVD seemed to be around 4 GB.) Maybe it's just my imagination that it seems to look better, I don't know. But yes.

Anyhoo, it's not a terrible DVD release, but if they had ported over all the features from the 2-Disc sets, plus added some new ones and a new transfer that really was digitally restored that they could brag about in the promotion, it would have been far better.
