Help! Where can I find the Disney films of the 1940s?

Post by Simba3 »

Hey UDers! I have seen almost all of the Disney Animated Classics, except there are a few I can't seem to find for rental. I want to see ALL of the DAC's! I was lucky to find Fun and Fancy Free, but I can't seem to find Saludos Amigos, The Threee Caballeros, Make Mine Music, or Melody Time. Now, I would rather not purchase any of these films just yet because currently I am just focusing on collection the Special Edition DVDs. I found Fun and Fancy Free at one of my local Blockbusters, but I have checked all three of their locations around here and can't find the other four.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for me? Do you know of any video rental places near you that have these for rental?

Netflix?

Other than that, I'd try your local library (if they have a DVD section you can borrow from). If you're ever up for buying any of them, keep in mind that Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros are out of print now, so they'll be harder to find.

Thanks Escapay, I checked out their website and it looks like they have all 4 titles available for rental. I was just getting really frusterated looking at video stores and not being able to find them. I see they have a free trial version, and I had thought about getting NetFlix a while back. I'll look into it and probably go that route. Thank you for your help.

If you ever want to focus on buying them, try finding them used at FYE or Game Stop. They have good prices on their used DVDs and CDs.
