Litho's
Litho's
Dissapointed that Disney didn't offer a litho w/Santa Claus 2 DVD. Anyway I was curious if anyone knew if litho's for the 2004 SE DVD's would happen. I called Disney Guest Relations and was told no, as it was a re-issue. However that didn't stop them from doing litho's with Snow White, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty and other re-releases.

Hey, with all of the stuff that has not been released AND all the stuff that has been released, re-released and revised it's hard to keep it all straight.Atlantis wrote:I feel like a dope. You're right. I completely forgot that these were first time on DVD titles.

I hope they'll be good lithographs on top of that. I didn't pre-order any DVDs with Disney this season because the lithos offered with Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King, and Finding Nemo just did not impress me. They looked like everything I had already seen.Mermaid Kelly wrote:I am really hoping for lithos with Aladdin and Little Mermaid!!!!!

Thanks, you're so right! Between standard editions, collectors, special, limited, deluxe, masterpiece, gold, platinum, 60th Anniversary editions, etc. It is hard to keep up.indianajdp wrote:Hey, with all of the stuff that has not been released AND all the stuff that has been released, re-released and revised it's hard to keep it all straight.
I sure hope so. I am periodically checking DisneyStore.com for any pre-sales on Alice. They didn't do any litho's with the initial Gold Collection Edition, hopefully the new Masterpiece Edition will.Starion wrote:I'm wondering if Disney will sell lithographs with the re-releases of Pocahontas and Simba's Pride. Not to burst anyone's bubble but i just got back from a Disney Store cast member meeting and the company is going to start having fewer and fewer pre-orders. The films that will be pre-ordered will be the "big" films such as next year's Aladdin release and most likely Brother Bear. My manager told me that any upcoming release other than those two will probably not be pre-ordered at all. This is mostly due to the companies huge losses with the BATB pre-orders (ie. cost to make lithos used up all profit they made).
This is not to say that releases such as Alice's 2-disc set WON'T be available for preorder, it's just not likely anymore. I hope that the heads of the disney store decide to leave it the way it is. Lord knows, i love my lithos and want lithos of every disney film
! Only time will tell! I'll keep you guys posted!

Inigo: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
Inigo: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.

I understand what you are saying and what is more: I accept it.
The Disney Store, and Disney in general, is a company that seeks profits, duh. So if they lost money with B+B, of course, it's normal that they cancel pre-orders and the release of lithos w/ them.
I also think that Disney is separating itself from the public in terms of marketing strategies, lately. If you look at the anual reports, BVHE sales have dropped immensely in the last few years.
Plus, the average joe and jane are a little lost w/ "limited releases" and "special editions" and "golden collections" and re-re-releases every few months.
I am not really lost. I only feel that Disney is trying to play w/ my pocket, re-releasing some dvds w/ some new extras.
