Disney Anniversary

Post by Sulley »

Today, October 18, was the 36th Anniversary of The Jungle Book, the last animated classic Walt worked on. I have always loved this movie. It's incredibly simple, but has great music and loads of fun. Can't wait for the Platinum.
What would this wretched world be like without Disney?

I liked that movie too in the past, but it wasn't one of my favorites. It had a totally different style and I guess I didn't like that as a kid. When I see it now, it still gives me that feeling, but it's a very nice story. I especially liked that orang utan and balloo :D I sometimes catch myself singing along with the songs in the movie, they are also very nice :) Maybe I'll get the Platinum, maybe not...

The Jungle Book is a very good movie, tough if I had to choose one of the Disneys of the 60's I'd choose 101 Dalmatians, the first Disney moder movie".

Some of the highlights of JB are the animation of Shere Khan by Milt Kahl, the animation of Kaa and of course the whole soundtrack.

Maybe yo've noticed that the pursuing sequence in Louie's temple is IDENTICAL as the Mr. Toad one.
