The Shaggy Dog (2006) coming to DVD August 1st.

Post by JiminyCrick91 »

<strike>Rip-off site URL removed</strike> http://www.ultimatedisney.com (at time of post anyway) has a small cover shot of the Tim Allen film and tells us about some bone-uses (not my pun). Also the way they put it seems as if they will have both wide and Full screen versions on one disc (but I may be misreading it).

I think I might pass on this one. I heard it wasn't very good.

It got shafted in terms of a theatrical release here, with many of the session being catered for children, and not people who work during the day.

DVD will be the only way to see this, but I'll wait for the local release, thanks.

For goodness sake, people, read the front page and don't link to a site that rips us off on a regular basis. Please!

It's bad enough to see that happen on other forums. Is it really hard to find the home page from this forum?! Week-old news and everyone is only learning about it here?! Gosh, it's threads like these that make me feel really proud about the roughly 80 hours a week I spend working on this site.

I think he was just using that link because they had shown the cover art. :)

At that time there was nothing on it on the front page or in the Live Action (1980-Present) page. I checked many times to make sure of it. But still Sorry Luke.

Front page entry for April 29, 2006.

(But you're right about the Live Action page not being updated until today. And I don't expect you to know that the site in question has a history of stealing news and not giving credit.)

If this movie never came out on DVD, it would be too soon!

Yes, it was that bad. They could have restored the original with Fred MacMurray and Tim Cosidine and gotten better results. This was a total waste of talent (Tim Allen especially) and a total waste of theater space.

Will not be in my collection (and Luke, on this one you can put it in the bank). If someone gives it to me, I will return it and get something else. It is a real pile of doggy poo-poo!!

So I guess it was released to theaters already?

Huh. That came and went quickly.
