Still need "A Musical History of Disneyland"? RUN

Post by gaysnappercarr »

I'm not one who normally waits to get big new releases that I want, but for some reason I held off on "A Musical History of Disneyland". Being more of a Walt Disney WORLD fan i wasn't sure if I'd really get into music from Disneyland.

Man, am I glad that I did wait!

Today I went to Costco to get the Family Guy movie and they had "A Musical History of Disneyland" there, and it was very inexpensive (as far as 6 CD boxed sets with beautiful hardcover books inside go!) LOL

So far I've listened to Main Street and I am in love with the set already!

If you've held back, consider yourself lucky! Whoo-Hoo!

I'm still mad at myself for not buying it in all my months at WDW, but the pricetag for its first release (with limited edition gold LP) was $125, and with my discount it'd still be $100 and I wasn't gonna spend $100 on CDs I'll listen to a few times, a book I'll read once, and an LP I won't play for fear I'll scratch it one day.

But I might get the general release version that they released this month (where the LP is a standard black one and not gold).

How much was it at Costco? I already have it... I just wonder how much I could have saved by waiting (though the waiting itself would have driven me crazy, so the extra that I paid was well worth it for me).

It's 64.99 at Costco.
I work in a retail store and thought I would wait until our pre-Christmas 40% off sale days to get it, but as it turns out, we're not scheduled to get it in!

That makes it even better that I was able to find it, at all, much less for (basically) 40% off.

:)

Tonight I'll be listening to New Orleans Square!

I haven't listen to this 6 CD set before. I have the 4 CD boxed set of "The Music of Disney". The newest boxed set includes a limited edition gold record for those of you who had turntables old or new. This great listening.
