Well when it comes to Walt Disney World Resort FL- I know it inside out & upside down. the attractions, shows, restaurants, hotels, merchandise, everything... lol-walt would be proud- haha....
However-Disneyland in CA i have NO clue.
The newly hubby & I are putting off our Disney cruise honeymoon till next year for more planning & saving but in the meantime- we want to go somewhere. We're thinking Disneyland in CA.
2 parks-not bad-what kind of park hoppers should we buy if we decide to go? (we plan on going in Late Sept-early Oct)
And comparing it to Magic Kingdom in FL- which is the better park?
For those who have been to both.
I know some of u here know Disneyland very well- just any tips or whatever I'd love to read about here.
thanks.

Glad to here your going Fidget!
IMO Disneyland is better than Magic Kingdom. Disneyland has Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Mr. Toad, Roger Rabbit and Star Tours and the ORIGINAL Tiki Room. All rides Magic Kingdom doesn't have(altough some of them are out at other parks in WDW)
Also alot of rides are done better at Disneyland(Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain).
However some things are better at Magic Kingdom. Tomorroland was great at Magic Kingdom, while the one at Disneyland is almost a ghost town until Space Mountain opens. And the Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain are better at MK.
Overall you'll have lots of fun at Disneyland! It's even better than MK!
As for DCA, ummmmmm, no comment!

I have been to Disney World about 6 times/ MGM once. I like them but I am goimg to DisneyLand/California Adventure in November for the first time. My wife had been to Disneyland a few times. We purchased the 3-day hopper tickets. DisneyLand is cheaper than Disneyworld, There are also great deals out there at http://getawaytoday.com/ where they have great deals. We purchased ours for around 600 with hotel. 5 day 4 night /4th night is free plus it comes with 2 adult 3 day hopper tickets, so we bought one child 3-day hopper, and we also bought tickets do do a Disney Charater breakfest which we plan to do on Thanksgiving day.
I see the 2 parks have most of the top Disney World rides and they just got the tower of terror. I am so excited

Disneyland is better than Magic Kingdom, IMO. It is considerably smaller (EVERYTHING is in a smaller scale), however it has considerable MORE attractions than Magic Kingdom. It has the most attractions than any Disney theme park on earth. Many elements such as theming of certain lands are better at Disneyland (Fantasyland and ToonTown, for example) and some of the original versions of attractions that were ported over to Magic Kingdom are better (Pirates of the Carribean) however other originals are inferior (Spash Mountain, it's still good at Disneyland though.)
You'll probably end up missing the wide open walkways and scale of Magic Kingdom. On the other hand, you won't miss the walking (i would assume) and hopefully you'll find Disneyland's intimate scale charming and magical.

You will probably enjoy California Adventure as well. It's a nice little park with a handful of stand out attractions and shows, many areas are beautifully themed, and the park as a whole loos great at night. I would recommend riding the Sun Wheel at night to get a view of the whole park.
