I think so too. The song's title suggests as much.D82 wrote:I didn't expect she would also sing "Show Yourself" with Elsa, apart from "All Is Found". Maybe she's the voice Elsa hears after all?
I was perplexed by that as well. Maybe it's because they don't want two female-sung versions of the same song completing in the charts or for the public's attention. Getting a famous female pop artist to cover "Into the Unknown" could have taken attention away from Idina's version. And considering that will be the version that Disney pushes for awards, they thought a male-sung version would be so different there wouldn't be any chance of conflation or confusion of the two in people's minds. I remember reading an article back in the day stating that the pop version of "Let It Go" got more airplay than the in-movie version prior to the song's Oscar nomination. Perhaps they want to avoid that from happening again. I don't know. It's just a theory. Personally, I'm disappointed they didn't hire a female artist to perform the end credits version. I actually liked Demi's take on "Let It Go" so it would have been cool if she had covered "Into the Unknown" too.D82 wrote:And speaking of the end credits songs, I find the choice of performers a bit odd. For instance, why have they chosen a male artist to cover "Into the Unknown"?
I doubt it was cut from the film. It's probably just absent from the soundtrack. Maybe because it was too short or spoken-sung. Unless it's woven in the same track as Iduna's version without being credited. I hope there's a deluxe edition too. I want my demos and deleted songs dammit! While Disney may release one down the line, I'm quite surprised they aren't issuing one at the same time with the standard soundtrack like they did with the original.D82 wrote:Yes, what happened to Anna's reprise of "All is Found"? Has it been deleted from the movie? I hope it's included in the deluxe edition that fortunately will be released.
