I think so too. The song's title suggests as much.
D82 wrote:And speaking of the end credits songs, I find the choice of performers a bit odd. For instance, why have they chosen a male artist to cover "Into the Unknown"?
I was perplexed by that as well. Maybe it's because they don't want two female-sung versions of the same song completing in the charts or for the public's attention. Getting a famous female pop artist to cover "Into the Unknown" could have taken attention away from Idina's version. And considering that will be the version that Disney pushes for awards, they thought a male-sung version would be so different there wouldn't be any chance of conflation or confusion of the two in people's minds. I remember reading an article back in the day stating that the pop version of "Let It Go" got more airplay than the in-movie version prior to the song's Oscar nomination. Perhaps they want to avoid that from happening again. I don't know. It's just a theory. Personally, I'm disappointed they didn't hire a female artist to perform the end credits version. I actually liked Demi's take on "Let It Go" so it would have been cool if she had covered "Into the Unknown" too.
D82 wrote:Yes, what happened to Anna's reprise of "All is Found"? Has it been deleted from the movie? I hope it's included in the deluxe edition that fortunately will be released.
I doubt it was cut from the film. It's probably just absent from the soundtrack. Maybe because it was too short or spoken-sung. Unless it's woven in the same track as Iduna's version without being credited. I hope there's a deluxe edition too. I want my demos and deleted songs dammit! While Disney may release one down the line, I'm quite surprised they aren't issuing one at the same time with the standard soundtrack like they did with the original.

That makes sense. Maybe it's because of that. I also like Demi Lovato's version of "Let It Go". I agree that it would've been nice if they had brought her back to cover "Into the Unknown".

Well, yes, that's a possibility.

According to several websites, a deluxe edition will also be released on November 15, though it seems it's a digital release only:
The Frozen 2 soundtrack will be released on November 15, 2019 along with the Frozen 2 vinyl cast songs soundtrack, score album and digital deluxe soundtrack.

That's good to hear though it's a bit odd the score album and the deluxe edition aren't available to pre-order yet like the standard soundtrack on digital, CD and Vinyl. By the way, here are the various covers for the soundtrack.

Did you get these from Amazon? I'm trying to find the CD pre order but I can't for some reason.

I found the Vinyl on Amazon and the CD cover on Apple Music. I believe the CD pre-order on Amazon hasn't gone live yet.

It just now occurred to me that with Frozen 2 they finally dropped the pretense that Anna is the main character of this franchise.

Gosh the new song .... kind of .... shrieks at you ? I know she has The Voice but blimey, had to turn the sound down whilst watching the trailer

But I am most likely in the minority I'm sure. The storyline sounds really intriguing, I hope it lives up to the hype !

Visuals are extremely beautiful.

How much sugar did the Lopezs eat before writing this song?
I had a big smile on when Olaf sang in the trailer. It's cute/funny: He's like a small child in a lot of ways. He's simple. I think it's a coping mechanism, knowing he doesn't have to make sense of the crazy stuff happening, just use all his might to survive, and maybe someday understand it..

That's not a leak, that's the Japanese trailer. Someone posted it here earlier.

But isn't Frozen II supposed to be darker and more mature?

It is with Elsa and Anna's story, mainly the former, but Olaf is there to tone down the story content for the little kids. And Olaf as a character was unlikely to get a darker, more mature storyline so it suits his role anyway.

Apparently, the Romanian singing voice of Elsa posted a photo from the recording booth in which an image from the song "Show Yourself" appears along with some of the lyrics:

Possible spoiler alert :( I had to fix it on my forum.

^Sorry, disneyprincess11. As I was just speculating, I didn't think of putting it under a spoiler tag.

There is some new concept art in the gallery of this article (click on the pictures to make them bigger).

Eh, the ending and the villain (my bad) were ruined for me, so I might as well read the whole story now

NY Times just posted an article about Jonathan Groff (seeing him in Little Shop next week  ) and they have a great new still of Kristoff. He looks so grown up!

Well, after hearing more of Into the Unknown from the Japanese trailer: The piano at the beginning sounds like it could've been from Do You Want To Build a Snowman (which I never was into to begin with). Otherwise, the melody is nice enough, but I find the chorus to be generic compared to the rest of the song. But I doubt that it will top Let It Go, who truly was a landmark of it's own.
Sotiris wrote:To be fair, "In Summer" wasn't good either
Agreed. I remember fearing that the sequence was going to be too awkward before seeing the movie. Since it felt out of place amongst the other songs and the scene itself consisted of pure silliness. It wasn't as cringeworthy as it could've been, but it was still awkward.
"For the First Time in Forever" was great
Agreed. That was the best song in the movie.
