Wow Sotiris, I'm genuinly impressed of how you get all the info for the Disney films.Sotiris wrote:The official Brave website has been updated with new images, character descriptions, wallpapers and other goodies!
I liked the new website.
Oooh, I just noticed Mordu in the background of the new poster. I like it a bit more now lol Nice catch, Sotiris!
It's curious because the review we read awhile ago from the person who saw an early version of the film said it was much more about Merida and her mother journeying together rather than just Merida. I wonder why they aren't marketing it as such? I hope the ending was tweaked and Merida becomes as independent as she wants to be.

I won't lie... I am VERY excited for this movie. Yeah, the Pixar movies are always good (save for Cars 2), and Ratatouille is my all time favorite Pixar movie. But I have never been "excited" for them until Brave. Now seeing the site, the artwork and such has made me really look forward to it. Now after Cars 2 I do try to keep low expectations, but it looks like Pixar will be back with this movie. I don't know, I just sense that this will be quite special in the Pixar canon.

I'm really digging this new trailer. After "Avengers," I want to see this film the most this year.

I always wondered why they changed it from the Bear and the Bow to Brave.I am used to the name now but I wonder why did they change the name.Did they feel that "Bear and The Bow" was too wordy?Or did they want to follow their tradition of doing single lettered movies?
I just know from that trailer that Merida is really a daddy's girl and even I think King Fergus has more empathy with how his daughter feels.I think its a reason why the story is mainly going to be about Elinor and Merida because of the fact that Elinor doesn't really seem to truly connect to Merida like her husband does.
I think when I see Elinor she is more of a athoritarian parent while Fergus is more of a parent who is more flexible and fun to have around.Which is kinda of a reverse in most roles where its the mother that is reasonable and the dad who is very much athorutarian.

This.
I think it's interesting that this "trailer" is more of a clip. I mean that is a rarity. They've done stuff like that with Lion King, Pocahontas and Dinosaur, but those were more musical montages. This is a fuller scene that reveals each of the personalities in greater depth than the first two trailers.
Also nice to hear a little of Patrick Doyle's music in the background especially during the slow-mo bit.
That little part in the trailer she says the name of the last guy that throws an arrow (witch name I don't know how how to write, so I won't dare to post here and embarras myself lol) she makes a cute little face there that I love so much!
I also think that they knew that no matter how they where going to aim for it, it tas going to look remarkably similar to HTTYD given that they have almost the same themes, (northern Europe setting, fantasy world, very light skinned people, redheads
) so they made all the human models less proportioned than Dreamworks's movie, in a vive much like The Incredibles, I like that.
Anyway, somehow I'm not convinced. I need the whole movie here, not just a clip with little music on it, though its funny, it seems, un-Pixar to me, though the same applied when I first heard that Up was going to be about...
