Episode 1: Like the way it feels like an introduction to the whole saga.

Episode 2: I'll have to give this one a break, since before I watched it so many time it felt very "heavy", tiresome.

Episode 3: GREAT. Everytime I watch it I like it even more.

Episode IV: Like the adventure feeling it gives, but I didn't find the characters were so well developed as to feel for them.

Episode V: Now I know why some consider it the best. I don't like thw whole Hoth battle/opening but did like the rest of the film, especially character development and situations.

Episode V!: The Jaba scenes were very exciting and the rest was ok too. Didn't fin the Ewoks part to be THAT bad, just that it was too much time spent with them. Plus, I didn't like the idea of the new Death Star (just repetition), the scene with Emperor/Vader/Luke needed something more. And I thought the Emperor needed more screen time.

A Christmas Story My Favourite Christmas movie of all-time. I usually watch it around the time of The Santa Claus Parade but I watched it early this year since I'm living with my best friend now and she loves Christmas. (She had her Christmas tree up before Halloween!)
I'll be watching it again on December 23rd, that's tradition and one of the only traditions still surviving after the last couple of years of change.

The Thing I watched John Carpenter's version. My mind was wandering during it but that's not because of the move's quality. It's a great movie but I guess I wasn't in the mood.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - Ireally enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would and it was a lot more different than I thought it would be. Highly entertaining so I guess I'll give Wes Anderson's 'The Royal Tenenbaums' another look.

The Witches - It's been a while since I've seen this one and it's great to revisit it. I'm still hoping we'll see a better DVD release sometime soon down the road.

Paradise, Hawaiian Style - I enjoyed it although I'm sure many would say it's far from Elvis' better movies. Seeing Elvis shove some meat in a guy's face was pretty hilarious!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - I've been in the mood to watch this for a while but couldn't since my sister was borrowing it. I don't know why but watching it today triggered some old memories of when I first saw it, in theatres. I've loved it ever since.

Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story - I saw it again since I felt like watching an animated movie with loads of comedy and not really intended for the younger crowd. (really I was in the mood for Fritz the Cat today but I still don't own that movie)

Quite a few:

Scary Movie: Good comedy, if it wasn;t for the sometimes crude humor; although the bed scene is GREAT!

Scary Movie 2: Wasn't that good but better than 3.

Scary Movie 3: Few good jokes, but very low even in comparison to the second part.

Sleepy Hollow: Much better thatn I remembered it to be. I especially liked the mystery part.

The Arrival: This was one of my first DVDs. I bought it during the time I just did blind buys. Bought it mainly because it came with th second part and the DVD had a a nice price.

...and this is a movie I avoid donn't know why. It IS very good. It does keep you at the edge of your seat... especially with that well made music.

But since this one is a thriller, I guess it works in its favor as for me to watch it once every so many years because it makes me forget it and hold my attention like the first time (actually it was my second viewing I believe).

Arrival 2: What a crap. As with the first part, this is the second time I watch it... and the second time I never put an interest in it. Just put it on the DVD player becuase I wanted something on the TV, and particulary something I hadn't seen hundreds of times. But again, it didn't hold my interest for even the opening credits. I can't tell really what the movie is about. Just that it is a complete waste becuase: the movie is really BAD, the plot is not interesting at all by any means now (since we already know everything there was to know) and the F/X are AWFUL.

I just saw <b>The City of Lost Children</b> (La cité des enfants perdus), which is directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie, A Very Long Engagement). I have to say, I'm a big fan of Jean-Pierre but this film exceeded my expectations. It was full of fantasy, both haunting and beautiful. It was gorgeously shot and had an array of characters that were interesting and commanding. It was so dynamic, clever, and full of little idiosyncrasies that just yank you into the stories and characters. If you've ever seen one of his films, you know what I'm talking about.

Has anyone seen this? It's also has the most CGI of any French movie of its time.

Got through quite a few over the weekend. We did watch two Disney movies (Princess Diaries and Tuck Everlasting, both surprisingly enjoyable).

Just saw Million Dollar Baby (again, saw it for the first time last Tuesday). I can't believe I went so long without seeing this amazing film.

Kind of late to mention it but I was watching half of Explorers last night, followed by the other half this morning. Entertaining the first hour, but by the time we see the aliens, it's really dragging along and is rather dull.

Interesting Scary Movie rankings, EGJ. The second is definitely my favorite. #3 is in the middle and the first, while also funny, is my least favorite.

I've been slack about this thread (as usual). Let me try to remember what I've watched...

The Crying Game - I can't even nail down what this movie is supposed to be about, it's so all over the place. It flows from POW drama to love story to a social drama to an action flick, with little to tie them all together. I'll admit that it was able to keep my attention, but it doesn't work well as a movie overall. I really think it was a platform for an issue and a shocking ending (which was told to me in advance).

With Honors - I had somehow never heard of this movie, despite Joe Pesci, Brendan Frasier, and Moira Kelly -- all of whom I like -- filling the three starring roles. Compare this to the movie above. A socially taboo subject made relevant with rousing successing. Very well acted and very moving, I really recommend this one.

Ugh! I think there's at least one other thing I'm forgetting, but it escapes me now. Hopefully it will come to me later.
