... Elsa? Really?

Come on, I know Frozen is pretty new and all, but... Elsa?
Why O why couldn't it have been the Horned King? -_-

I don't care of The Black Cauldron is popular or not; the Horned King would have made a better villain. Obscure or not. -_-

It's unfortunate, but I could almost promise you The Horned King will never be on this show.

I'm guessing that Elsa will be the misunderstood villain. My guess is she will set off an eternal winter in Storybrooke that spreads beyond the town's borders and begins to alert the rest of the world to the existence of Magic and that they will have to go back to Arendale to find Anna in order to stop her.

As much as this seems like a blatant capitalization, it also is a brilliant one on Disney's part. OUAT could really get massive ratings boost from this with the right advertising and casting.

There has been a rumor going around that Kristen Bell would be playing a live action version of Anna on the show, but I think it would be pretty awesome to have her play Elsa. Probably will be neither, but who knows. Just no Olaf please. Every time this show tries to do a non human companion it is awful. Looking at you Lumiere and Jimminy Cricket.

Also:

Ugh at Marion. I guessed it right away with the mention of her early in the episode. Regina and Robin were my favourite couple on the show. I'm hoping Tinkerbell's magic revealing Robin as Regina's true love means Marion will only be a bump in the road. Once the initial shock of her being alive is over I'm sure Robin will have to take some time to deal with these complicated feelings. Make Marion and Elsa fall in love. That would be a great slap in the face to those wingnuts who say Frozen is going to make kids gay... lol

Just watched the episode and I gotta say, I didn't see that one coming. I'm excited to see the new villain though! I don't think she will be a villain though. She's too populair. My guess is that she'll be a conflicted character, like Regina. She's evil but just because somethinng bad happened to her in the past. Or maybe she's just misunderstood.

I wonder who they cast as her... I'm guessing the actress we saw in the last couple of minutes was just a stand in and the real actress will be announced soon.

Also, they released a new 'poster' and hastag for season 4. Warning! It's a spoiler if you haven't seen the latest episode!

It's pretty much the same hastag as this season only replacing one word with another.

Man, I LOVED that reveal and yeah, I think she'll be a conflicted character as I think they know people don't want to see an evil Elsa. Even though, the original character was the villain in the original story, right? Either way, I'm stoke to see what they do with Elsa.

Wow !

I know nothing about the episode, as I've given up on looking at episode synopsis until I watch the R1 bluray, but wow wow wow to the new poster ! My gosh !

I can absolutely see why they've done it, and it makes perfect sense, but have a sneaky feeling that it couldn't have been planned that far ahead ? Must have been a recent change with all the success ? But Once can only do well by it, so I'm all for it. That poster is amazing too.

Also, I think Elsa should be dressed and have hair like that in the parks, for sure. So much nicer than what she is currently in!

Theories for Elsa

She's start out as a normal villian that's closer to the original Snow Queen tale, however she'll get saved by either a hero that takes pity on her, or Anna.

How come in this show, things like Rumpelstiltskin (whose fairy tale was never adapted by Disney) and POC Rapunzel are a-okay, but the Snow Queen has to be just like the Disney version? Even if it's unlikely, I think they should bring in Gerda and Kai (as in the children from the original Snow Queen story) instead of Anna and Kristoff to even things out.

Gotta laugh how Elsa is the only character on the show who resembles her Disney incarnation the most. Also lol- the fastest a new Disney character was added to the show; one would think they'd prefer going through the classics like Princess and the Frog or so. But nope! Frozen makes money!

I must admit, I never even watched this show past the first season.

But I'd watch the season premiere just to see how that plays out.

Imagine how many others like me will do the same...

Ariel looks just like the Disney version, and so did Cinderella from what I remember. I could probably go find more, but why should it even matter? And TP&TF is barely older than Frozen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Elsa is a mix of the Disney character and the original fairy tale. Perhaps Elsa will cause drama between Hook and Emma, the same way she kidnaps the boy in the tale and he falls in love with her because of the shard of mirror in his eye. Anna and Hans (the Disney version) could also exist side-by-side with that.

I agree on that first part, could definitely see that happening since that's basically what occurs in the movie. I agree with the 2nd part. I hope it really does help the ratings. The drop last year I could understand because last season was a bit of a trainwreck, but I think it's definitely improved.

I just read Once Upon a Time won't be back until October 26th... :jawdrop: I know they're probably trying to make sure there are as few breaks between episodes as possible by having it start later (since that only hurts ratings), but that's so far away...

Belle also looks exactly like the Disney version in both the yellow and the blue dresses.

Maybe they start one month later because Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White) is still pregnant in the real life.

I wouldn't say the others besides Elsa look exactly like their Disney versions. I forget if Ariel had her bangs or the right seashells, I know Cinderella's hair wasn't in a bun/French twist and her dress didn't have the bustle though, and Belle's dresses aren't enough like the originals to me and her hair wasn't partly up in her gold dress.

Maybe they're missing a few tiny little details but Ariel, Belle and Cinderella look like their Disney versions to me.

Even Snow White looks like the Disney version in the episode when she sings "With a Smile and a Song" with a bluebird in her hand.

She had the red bow in her hair and yellow dress but for me I need Snow White's dress to also have the blue bodice and puffy blue and red sleeves. It takes a little more detail for me to think they look close enough to the Disney versions, lol.

I have no idea who she is, but I think I've seen her on several talk shows before based on that picture on Wikipedia and remember she was obnoxious. Yeah, I hope it's not her either.
