I couldn't help myself and I looked at your spoiler :P

A part of me wants to believe that this is the big twist... But I seriously doubt that Disney would do this.
I mean, first killing off a very loving brother and then making him out to be the villain. It would cause mayhem with parents and the fans. Although.... I don't know if Tadashi is truly dead. I think the actual villain might have kept him alive or something.

You know what would be interesting? Is if Tadashi died and it wasn't the villain's fault.
I'm gonna be pretty pissed if by the end of the movie Hiro says "So you were the cause of Tadashi's death!" Because that line is just so generic and overused at this point.

But we'll see.
Might have to block this page from now own.

Just between you and me does anyone think this will be the reverse Pocahontas which instead of it being a slump it will actually be loved by audiences and be a critical hit. Another thing is that the there is no ultra high expectations set for it like Pocahontas. As I remember reading, Pocahontas was expected to be the A-List movie while Lion King was only to be a filler. Guess how that turned out. I know it won't catch up to Frozen's records but I think after taking the world by storm Disney really has earned back its reputation for making good movies.

I don't see that happening to BH6. To me, the slump could start in 2015. As there will be no feature from WDAS for a whole calendar year. Followed up by Zootopia's release in 2016. Zootopia is clearly not on anyone's radar. We'll have to wait at least 2 years til the release of Giants & even longer for Moana. Those are the next 2 anticipated films from WDAS and they're not do anytime soon. That's when I believe a slump could occur. Meanwhile Pixar will release 2 original films in 2015 & that could clearly shift momentum away from WDAS.

I still wonder how Big Hero 6 is going to perform opening weekend since it's going head to head with Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. I think a reasonable expectation would be like $50 million, which is basically what Wreck It Ralph performed in its opening weekend.

Taei, regarding the villain:

Im very tempted to read your response but I didnt :P :
Ive been told that it cant be Tadashi b/c he dies at the opening of the film but I think that's exactly why its him, the audience wont expect it....heck maybe the Tadashi that died was a robot replacement he made...I hope Im wrong but it just feels so much like something I could see happening. I just find that a lot of USA animated film plots are predictable these days, & Disney seems to love the villain twist concept, I guess they think it makes the film edgier.

Im not actively avoiding spoilers though(just not looking for them), so Im sure Ill end up accidently spoiled at some point anyway...

It looks awesome, but I didn't get it. Is it Big Hero 6 or Baymax: The Movie?
They are trying pretty hard to sell toys. They didn't gave a glimpse of the story. According to the trailer: there's a boy, his brother dies and he made a robot. THAT'S IT. Nothing else.

Not gonna lie.. That was a bit underwhelming...

I hate that they keep mentioning Tadashi in those trailers because we barely get any of the other characters.
This trailer just re-affirms what my thoughts about the movie are going to be.
The story about a boy and his robot - Yay!
The story about a realistic group of young superheroes... Ehh?

I just don't think we're getting anything about them and the movie is about a month away.
Why didn't they do something close to the Guardians of the Galaxy teaser where they talk about the group?

I already sat through a 2 hour movie with an underdeveloped group of superheros, which I didn't like. I don't want to sit through another one and from Disney and Marvel too!!

Also, we've already seen like 60% of the trailer, what the heck! Why not add more to it instead of re-using scenes?
The animation also wasn't that impressive to be honest.... I think sometimes Disney likes to substitute detail for the classic 2D "Disney look" and I don't like that.

Now to the good stuff, the villain looks awesome! We finally got to hear Honey Lemon talk.
Whoever does the interior design/set design of those houses at Disney deserves an award.
One of the highlights of Frozen is how incredibly detailed their mansion was. And now looking at Hiro's room and house, I can definitely see the trend go on. Bravo!

But yeah... The movie really needs to start pumping the other heroes.
Heck, we don't even have merchandise for them, which is understandable as they might not want to repeat what happened with Frozen and release merch before the movie.
But yeah.. This just wasn't what I was expecting. :(

A quite satisfying trailer, perhaps the most satisfying trailer yet for the film. I liked the stuff with Tadashi and Fred is quite reminiscent of Shaggy.

cute, but too much Baymax...
seriously their focusing on him way too much, Im already kinda sick of him. They arent going to let us "discover" him in the movie, which is how you normally end up falling in love with a character and how they naturally end up a scene stealing fan favorite ...

also, the song sucks...

It's nice to see advertisements on TV for this now.

I'm still disinterested. Somehow I don't think I'll see this in theaters, unless I happen to be out that way for some reason (I have to drive from 40 min to an hour).

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the trailer! But, I wish we had way more focus on the other 4. I'm mad that Honey Lemon had one sentence. :|
