this is the first advertisement i have seen for this film in my country. everyone was staring and i could hear "wows" and other praises for this movie - i am so glad finally some advertisement has arrived (which isn't on the web) !

It comes out on December 1st and i've plenty advertisement for Harry Potter which only comes a few days earlier and i've seen advertisement for other movies who come out in the midst of December. But no Rapunzel! Not even on Disney XD.

Two days ago I was fortunate enough to attend a masterclass Glen Keane gave in Paris, where he talked about his work from the early days up untill Rapunzel and they screened several scenes. The first sequence of Rapunzel inside her tower, and the first encounter between Rapunzel and Flynn when she knocks him out with a frying pan. The animation is INCREDIBLE! It's as classic Disney as you could get. It's rich, has personality, and just gorgeous, gorgeous gorgeous and so full of life.

Afterwards I went to a gallery opening where they opened an exposition of Glen's work, both personal and Disney related. Amazing. Got to meet Byron Howard, Roy Conli and Glen. Managed to have a quick chat with him and then the next day I went back to the gallery to check out the works more quietly, because it was too busy the night before. And by chance Glen was there, so I was lucky enough to get the chance to sit down with him and chat for a good 20 minutes, show him my work, get some tips and talk to him. Really talk. An absolute dream come true! Just AMAZING!!

Hey, i read on your blog you were the one who did those Maoam cartoon commercials! I always liked seeing them as a kid, the rasta dudes in the end of the snowboard one always had me cracking up!

Haha, yeah I did those commercials a couple of years ago. I did all the 2D animation in it, from rough to clean-up and the coloring. The company I did them for then did the compositing and 3D animated pieces. Was a lot of fun to do them, even though I think I could have done way better had I been given a little more time to make them Awesome that you remember them Btw, if you now see commercials on tv for Super de Boer, with the girl cycling through these hand drawn landscapes. I do those as well now. There's a new commercial every week. Also a lot of fun to make those even if it's only the backgrounds and not a lot of animation in it

I will pay attention to those from Super de Boer, because i can't remember i've seen the commercial you describe, but i'm sure it looks awesome! I'm thinking about going into animation business myself, if i'm good enough ofcourse. I've always loved drawing. But i'm only fifteen so i first have to find a good animation school that can teach me everything! Can you recommand a good school?

I apologise if this was posted, but I just found this video via Laughing Place. It's of Rapunzel and Flynn's grand entry at Disneyland Paris from last Saturday (6th November), during a press event and the European premiere of Tangled (which was held at Disneyland Paris). It's very romantic.

Can anyone tell me if this has any movie spoilers (songs ffrom the movie or anything along those lines)? After the Mandy Moore interview, I've been trying to be a lot more wary about spoilers.

Well, I personally went to the academy of arts in Tilburg but I think Breda and Utrecht also have very good animation programs. You could also start training yourself by reading the animation books by Richard Williams, Eric Goldberg and "The Illusion of Life" by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. Those will teach you a lot of principles and the biggest tip I can give you. Draw constantly, everywhere and always. Always have a sketchbook with you when you travel and just make quick sketches of what you see around you, not just your own characters, but real people around you! If you ever have any questions or need some advice, just send me a private message I'm always happy to help if I can

Thanks a lot! Utrecht is the closest to me (i live in that province). And i will definitely buy one of those books ( or ask them for sinterklaas xD) I am already drawing everywhere i am, especially at school and i drive my teachers crazy, but i don't care! Thanks for all your advice!

had another thought about "bear flynn" he looks way to heavy to climb the tower, never mind get dragged around by her hair.

no tangled ads on tv here in new zealand either. theyve been showing previews at the cinema since toy story 3 came out [mid year]. hopefully it will be out for the xmas holidays, which start early december. even the local cinema doesnt have posters up yet.

edit: just checked a cinema website and tangled isnt here til 6th of january! they are so mean!!!!

Hi! I'm new here. I've been following this movie for quite some time now, but decided to join now (a bit late, I know). I'm really excited for Tangled. The animation just looks amazing, and I can't imagine how much more amazing it'll look on the big screen.

I found a few funny drawings of Pascal and Maximus. The smoking Pascal is by Jin Kim, and the other two are by Mark Kennedy.
