Born in 1988, and saw my first Disney movie in theaters, 101 Dalmatians, while on a trip to New York in 1991, and so began my obsession.

When we came back to my home town my mom re-did my room with 101 Dalmatians stuff, and it also became the first movie I owned on VHS. Besides 101 Dalmatians I have seen Beauty and the Beast, The Fox and the Hound, Snow White, Aladdin, the Lion King, The Emperor's New Groove and Lilo and Stitch in theaters.

From 1995-1999 my family was too poor to see any movies in theaters, hence why I missed out on the rest of the 90s films; though my grandparents bought me a heck of a lot of the classics on video.

In 2002 I bought my first Disney DVD (Lilo and Stitch) and from then until November of 2005 I collected 32 of the DAC on DVD. Unfortunetly on November 28th of 2005 a house fire claimed all but one DVD. But in 2006 I managed to recollect 17 of the films on DVD, including all 8 platinum titles.

Im currently working on finishing a collection of the 45 DAC as well as collecting pretty much any piece of disney memrobillia I can get my hands on. I hope to someday have a room in a house dedicated to the Disney Animated Classics.

That's enough with the instruction manual. Hello to UltimateDisney and yes, my name is indeed Prudence. I'm a 17-year-old working sorority girl, dually enrolled in high school and college, who has been known to be mistaken for Anneliese van der Pol and has continually been called anal-retentive.

I have a friend who moved to Florida and plays Aurora in DisneyWorld, but I can't play one of the princesses myself. I'm too tall! So I compiled a list of the main six princesses to double-check the proportions:

Snow White - My favorite, but she's shorter than Cinderella.
Cinderella - Ahaha, don't even start.
Aurora - Why not? Any official information her height?
Belle - Same as Aurora, although I'd make a better Aurora than I would Belle.
Ariel - Too short.
Jasmine - Much too short; I read somewhere that she's around 5 feet.

So if I were to audition for a role in DisneyWorld, I would probably end up playing one of the villains. Which is fine by me, but I'm too young in the face to play most of them. (I beith only 17, remember?)

Shall we continue with the instruction manual? "NO!" Fine, then I shall just give out rather useless information about myself that has not already been covered.

- I'm allergic to bee stings, and nothing else.

- When I was little, I thought that Dr. Seuss characters would come out of the books and chase me. No other fictional characters could, only the works of Dr. Seuss.

- I also thought Dr. Seuss looked like the Cat in the Hat, with glasses and a stethoscope.

- My favorite Disney channel actress will always be Lalaine. <3 <3 <3

- Genetics say my first child will most likely be a girl that looks like Lalaine. That obviously depends on who her father is, but to be honest ~ ~

- Pullip dolls are wonderful. "You interrupted me."

- To those familiar with the world of Harry Potter, I am - apparently - "a Slytherin girl with huge amounts of Ravenclaw and a hidden Hufflepuff side."

- Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet is my favorite Disney *heroine.* There are a lot of Disney women that I love, but I wouldn't classify them as heroines. (I wouldn't classify myself as a heroine, either!)

- If I see another avatar about "the constipation that's gripping the nation," I am going to poke my computer with something sharp. There's none of those avatars here; twas referring to other boards.

- I frequently talk in Colonial terms online.

- After Prudence, the Disney character I relate the most to is Ting-Ting from Mulan II.

- Then Captain Amelia.

- Maybe.

- Or maybe Queen Hippsodeth from the Aladdin T.V. series.

- Yes, I actually like prunes.

- I'm eating oatmeal while writing this at 3 in the morning, and it's gross. (The oatmeal is gross, not what I'm writing.)

- I'm basically insomniac, so I've usually got a lot of things done before the sun rises. Which is good, what with my schedule.

- What I want to this evening is watch Cinderella III with my best friend, who shall always be Cinderella to me. What I'll probably do this evening is get stuck tutoring math to someone. Which really sucks, because that means Baylus will probably run in the library and be a dork, which will make everything take longer. That, or he'll also be watching the movie without me. I'll get him if he does. I don't think I could pound Abby Enchanted without consequences.

- That's disgusting; the oatmeal turned cold in one second.

- I will remember millions of other things once I have clicked "submit."

Reposted here so people will pay attention to me. :P So this isn't entirely meaningless, I have now seen Cinderella III. I loved it.

I'm a 14 year old up and coming young male. Sadly I can't remember the first Disney film I saw, but seeing as I was born in '92 I'm going to estimate it was The Lion King or Pochahantas :? :?. I went through my first few years of life being a fan of Disney movies because they were cartoons. I guess I started a huge obsession with Disney in around 2000 when I went to Disneyland Paris and the obsession lasted a WHILE (emphasis on while, duh). My life-long dream was to be an animator for Disney. I continued on with that fantasy for a while, as my huge fan feeling faded more and more. When I read that Disney were stopping doing traditionally animated films, I rejected them and stopped caring entirely. Then over the past year my interest has grown gradually and recently (within the bast month) I've gotten very interested again. My purchase of Alice in Wonderland on DVD yesterday sent me into overdrive, wondering what DVD I'll get next, reading a dozen reviews on this site and registering here. I may stop caring tomorrow or a year from now or I may stay a huge Disney fan for years and years to come. But now I just wanna watch more and more of these great movies.

Hi everyone, I'm The Tickler. I'm 20 years old and live in Ottawa, Canada. I decided to join this great looking site after being discouraged from the lack of Disney interest taking place at one of the forums that I moderate (it's not a movie forum or anything, so I guess I can't blame them, haha). I think I've watched every Disney animated film at least once, with my favourites being Aladdin, Mulan and The Lion King (I'm a '90s kid, what can I say). I'm also a huge fan of Disney music, with over 40 songs currently on my iTunes playlist (by the way, if any of you have "Savages" (Pocahontas) or "Out There" (Hunchback of Notre-Dame), PLEASE send them to me, haha).

Anyway, I can't wait to contribute to some great discussions and also to get to know you all better.

I am the terror that flaps in the night.

I am the grape stain that just won't come out.

I am... well I am SennY.

I won't tell you how old I am, let's just say... I remember getting excited over Little Mermaid toys in the McDonald's Happy Meal and punching out the little cardboard things from the box.

Tickler and Uncle Matty have brought me to these boards as we all share the same obsession with Disney and Heroes. Infact right now I'm listening to music from The Hunchback of Notre Dame while Invader Zim plays on my TV.

(Don't judge me! *sniff* )

So yeah, that's me. I can be a bit odd at times, by times I mean always, and I have the need to quote Darkwing Duck a lot.

Ooh, I just noticed this thread!
I'm 23 years old and live in Mississauga, Ontario in Canada. I found this site when I was looking for release schedules and lists of Disney movies so I could catalog what I have and figure out what I still need to buy!

The first Disney movie that I remember seeing in theaters was The Little Mermaid. My aunt took me to see it and I can still remember being in the theater and being mesmorized. My favourite movies have always been from Disney and now that I'm done school I'm trying to collect all of them!

I'm happy to be around other Disneyholics..looking forward to more discussions on this board.

And So Toni appears in a poof of smoke! Toni is a male name but I use the female way of spelling it, with an I, not a y. Please remember that, or glance 2 inches to the left and look at the name right over the [hopefully soon to be achieved] avatar.

Let's see. I'm 15 years old, female, I live in Canada. I was told to join this site by the lovely JiminyCrick91. And so I am, and I'm posting because he keeps bugging me and saying "You haven't posted yet!" ...that and Disney=<3.

I have not the faintest idea what my favorite or first Disney movie was. I like the animated classics from the 90s, like the Lion King, Toy Story, Aladdin, ect.

I am slightly insane, unless on sugar, then I am really insane. I like being insane because it is fun and then people don't hold as much stuff against me. I hope not to drive you guys insane. I'm not a pro at Disney information, but I do try and remember stuff pretty well.

What else? Hmm. I'm slightly a grammar nazi for punctuation and capitalization, but only with myself so don't expect someone to be sitting there re-writing your posts and posting the never improved versions right after you.

And. Uhm. Ya. JC91 better be happier with me now. =]

NO Sky-Sky! And Yes. Yes I am but I hardly think that UD is the place to discuss our music theater class let alone on this thread.

My Disney Story

Post by Mason_Ireton »

I've been captivated by Disney since I was a lil lad... allow me to introduce myself por favor...

I'm Mason 18/m/Oregon. Mature by heart, Disney by personality. It all began when I was 2, playing with the tv remote. somehow I had it on Disney channel and 3 Lil Pigs showed up, Closed Captions were on the screen thus I found myself repeating the character's lines *chuckles* then I found my movies were family vids/Disney and I still have some of them to this day. The wolf gave moi nightmares while the song's quite catchy, I've been entranced by the animation of it and grown a apperication for the short film. Without 3 Lil Pigs, I would've been a Popeye fan (which I sort of am, after seeing the film verison) it's been fun sharing my disney story with U.D. Disney has played a role in my family, my bro, Noah, who's mentaly/physicaly disabiled, loves Jungle Book, Pinocchio, Snow White and Peter Pan, he can't talk vocaly nor computer wise but he communicates the best way he can. Noah has worn out his Jungle Book and Peter Pan vhs then I bought P.Pan Platinum and sometimes allow him to watch it once in a while. My family is quite different and I've been wanting to share my experiences to Disney but I know it'd be a hit/miss idea. If you wan'na know more bout me/family, etc let me know por favor.

I know I've been a member of this forum since november 2005 and I still haven't introduced myself. Oh well, I can fix that.

My name is Christian. I'm 19 years old and female who is a huge Disney fan as well as other animation that I loved dearly. When I was 2 years old, my first Disney animated film is Cinderella and its been my favorite disney film that I grew up with. However, my first non-Disney animated film is "The Care Bears Movie", even though I loved Care Bears. After watching Cinderella, I also started to love the animated shorts, especially the shorts starring Donald Duck. My favorite Disney animated short is "Ben and Me" because it reminds me of Cinderella for some reason and the story is excellent (from what I read from the book). Seventeen years later after I turned 19, I watched Pinocchio (which I haven't seen this film since I was 5 years old) and suddenly, I fell in love with it. This, of course, has become my second favorite Disney animated film next to "The Lion King" and "The Jungle Book". :D

Throughout the years, after my obsession of Disney I started to watch other animated cartoons and shows that are produced in the early 30's through late 90's.

Hi,

My name is Walter, and I am new to the forum. I'm a 31 year-old, single male, so I am probably one of the few old people on this forum. :)

I've been an off and on Disney fan in my lifetime. I think the first Disney movie that I saw in theaters, was Fantasia in 1985, which was shortly after my first visit to Disney World (Christmastime 1984). The last one that I saw in theaters was The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I became a renewed fan after my recent trip to WDW last year, and decided to finally watch all the "official" animated movies, which I never saw before. And I just started collecting some of the Walt Disney Treasures.

As for my 2006 trip to WDW, it was my first solo trip there, and the first time after a 12-year gap. And I was surprised that I had so much fun, even though one of my favorite rides had closed down, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Now, I hope to visit every year.

Walter finaly prompted me to write. As he thinks 31 is old, I guess I'm old too.

Urusus was given to me as a name (Latin for bear)- as the original founder of the country bear playhouse was named Ursus H. Bear. the second h- well time may tell what that is...

Twelve years ago I worked for Disney with the Disney Stores as a traditioneer and was sent to the parks twice, but my love affair for disney started way before that. After the Stores pulled out, I decided to go into teaching. I teach High school and enjoy all things Disney when time and occation permits (usually more than it should). I love the nostalgia associated with Disney, and the stories that come from friends and aquainteces whent they tell their Disney story. I came across UD when the treasures started and I've been here ever since. So for all us old fogeys, and us young fogeys too, thanks for a clean place to hang out on the web where we can discuss Uncle Walt's legacy.
