Disneydood wrote:If anyone could recap, is there a list of which new features will be on the Blu ray but NOT on the DVD
The new features that will be on both the Blu-Ray and DVD are the "Beyond Beauty" documentary, "Broadway Beginnings", "Composing a Classic", "Belle in the Library" deleted scene, "Alternate Prologue", and original song demos, as they're listed for both the Blu-Ray special features and the DVD special features (on DisneyStore.com and BarnesandNoble.com, though I'm sure other sites have updated their information as well).
These are Blu-Ray exclusive:
-
Storyboard Version - the theatrical version of the film with PIP option of the storyboards.
-
Disney Quest: Enchanted Challenge - help Belle and the Beast fall in love in order to break the spell before the last petal falls.
-
Bon Jour, Who Is This? A Disney TelePlay Game - Powered by BD-Live. Using your cell phone, guess the identity of the other players before they guess yours.
-
Beyond Beauty Experience - interactive version of the "Beyond Beauty" documentary. Additional contents that makes it "interactive" is TBA, but it is known that the art galleries are exclusive to this, and thus, not on the new DVD.

So essentially, what's not being carried over from the 2002 DVD is the "Tale as Old as Time" documentary (or its 25-minute "family" version), "Disney's Animation Magic", the Jump 5 music video, and the other games (Maurice's Invention Workshop, Break the Spell).
ajmrowland wrote:^Yeah, the 2-disc Anastasia release included Bartok in the bonus features.
The same production team worked on
Bartok and so it was considered an essential addition for
Anastasia's supplements.
Conversely,
The Secret of NIMH 2 was not by Don Bluth, which is why it was excluded from its Family Fun Edition in 2007.
Regarding
Enchanted Christmas and
Belle's Magical World, I'd rather they get their own releases and not be included in the
Beauty and the Beast release. They haven't really bundled Movie+Sequel together unless it was an after-the-initial-release bundle set a couple years later (
Mulan and
Mulan II for example), and I can't see them doing it with their precious "Diamond Edition" releases. After all, they didn't bundle the sequels with the Platinums, those got separate releases too.
