Looks fantastic. I still wish Beast's face was a little better, but it's alright. The only one of the servants that I don't really like is Mrs. Potts. Chip, Lumiere, and especially Cogsworth look great. I guess they are trying to be a little more faithful to the original tale by having Maurice caught by the Beast for taking a rose/flower from the garden. Dan Stevens sounded almost nothing like himself. They had to have added some audio effect while he's Beast, because I don't think he could alter his voice that much?

The ballroom looks phenomenal, and the dancers had to be from the ending, I guess? I'm totally squeeing out.

Loved the shot from what I assume is Belle's reprise. It looks promising for sure. Between La La Land, Beauty and the Beast and the Enchanted sequel we might be entering a bit of a live action movie musical revival.

Bring it on!

I loved it! I got the same chills I got from the Cinderella trailer. I love how they're keeping to the original fairy tale with Maurice trying to pick a rose for Belle. There's an old concept art opening of BATB (the draft closer to the fairy tale) which had a white rose in the title screen. I really doubt this is a homage to that, but I'm glad for that simple color change anyway. Besides that, it's so nice that they're sticking really close to the movie for some of the more dramatic scenes like the Belle (reprise) and when she asks Beast to step into the light.

I've been one of the biggest critics of her dress but it really does look better in motion. I can't wait to see her more of the winter pink dress and I'm glad the green one was cut. What really interested me was the scene where Belle seems to be running in her gold ballgown on the outside of the castle as the bridge is breaking. I wonder if the castle is springing to life to stop her from leaving or maybe it's crumbling as the spell is breaking and Beast is dying.

As for the dancers, they might also be from the opening to show the prince's life before the curse. I think they said they would explain what happened to his parents as well. I'm glad they looked more contemporary of the time period with their powdered wigs though.

The trailer was amazing. I'm more excited for this than I was for Cinderella and The Jungle Book, in fact, I think it will be the best one out all of the live action movies Disney's been doing as of late.

The trailer was so good and amazing and cool!!!!!!

First thing, what a castle! What a great West Wing where the rose is! Perfectly designed!

I don't know, however, what the heck Bill Condon meant when he said Belle's yellow dress is closer to the 18th century time period. I have never seen a dress like that from any 18th century pictures in all my life. At least the dress is pretty.

I like that they’re using more of the original fairy tale with Maurice cutting the rose for Belle.

Emma’s acting…disappointed me, but well, maybe I’ll think she’s better when I see the whole movie. But she was really good when she said “No!” towards the end.

Thank goodness, however, they fixed the nonsensical part of Belle offering to replace her father as the Beast’s prisoner. It is the Beast, not Belle, who asks if she will take his place, and so, knowing the Beast would want her, she agrees to it. Otherwise, as in the original, Belle would have had no idea an imprisoner would ever swap her for their prisoner who actually did something to get the imprisoner to imprison them. Good story change.

The CGI on the Beast is a bit distracting. It’s like Belle is talking to a computer image instead of a living being, but what can we do, would prosthetics have been better? Actually, yea, probably. But Bill Condon says it was the only way to get the emotions and performance out of Dan Stevens so…hey, who knows. Maybe CGI really was the best way to go.

The enchanted objects…my word do I find them creepy and unappealing. The worst thing to me being the peacock feather duster I don’t get at all. I get they are doing it for authentic French objects, but they could have given her a pretty woman's face is freaking Lumiere got a man's face! What authentic French feather duster had bird wings?!

The rest, of everything, however, looks excellent. The shots. All of Belle’s costumes except that white and flowered one. Gaston. The sheer scope and staging and architecture. Belle and the Beast at the climax. Emma Watson was good there at least.

So…yea, cool trailer. I hope this turns out good. It will be successful no matter what because the original has so many fans who will pay money for this blindly, but whether the film will actually be good…we must await.

And who knows, maybe the Beast’s soul will come out through that CGI and have a good romance with Belle.

Wow, what a fantastic trailer! I still have some minor reservations but I'll be looking forward to this one more than the rest of the recent live action remakes. My biggest complaint about this trend has been that they're too predictable and adhere too closely to the animated classics, and then inevitably fail to top the classics or stand on their own as solid and unique films. Or they go completely off the rails like Maleficent and Alice

While it looks like this is just another live action rehash of a movie I've seen numerous times, the fact that it's a musical should keep my interest a little more, and you can't beat the music of BATB (Jungle Book doesn't count as a musical since Bare Necessities was half-assed and Christopher Walken's singing as a giant monster ape was completely out of place and nightmare inducing). The production design looks on point as well

She is not running in her ballgown, but in a white dress she is wearing during the attack of the castle scene. You can see that in the shot of her after the jump where she hangs on to a wall, it's white.

The gold dress does appear to have some layers to it as seen in the spinning around scene during the dance, so I guess it's going to be bigger than we think.

I don't think I have ever watched a trailer so many times as I did with this one. I can't stop looking at Emma Watson, she's so beautiful. It's like she was born to play this part, she's just perfect for the movie! I really hope they will show us a musical trailer, just to hear her sing.

So agree, I watched it a dozen times. Emma was practically made for this role. She exudes class and talent, and she's gorgeous, too.

I thought that part looked really beautiful. I’m so glad the movie seems to be largely faithful to the original masterpiece, but with little changes that don’t bother me to give it its own flavor. No surprise this’ll be huge after a quality trailer like that one.

Really fantastic trailer, absolutely loved it. Again, I'm still not convinced by certain elements, but that trailer truly knocks your socks off ! Well done Disney marketing department for finally creating a brilliant showcase for one of their movies

One of the absolute highlights was the music ... oh my GOSH ! That huge, epic version of BATB theme....absolute chills ! Does anyone know if we can download that anywhere, or if it's from the movie, or specific trailer music .. would just love to have it.

I wonder when they will showcase an actual part of the song from the film too ....

Well actually it was said in interviews by Bill Condon or someone else that Belle will wear the gold dress in the end around the time the climax happens. However, it's pretty obvious she is wearing the white underwear that is under the gold dress when jumping and then when she screams "No!"

The theatrical trailer broke records just like the teaser did. It reached 127.6 million views in its first 24 hours breaking the previous record set by Fifty Shades Darker with 114 million views and Star Wars: The Force Awakens with 112 million views.

Haha, the one with Emma saying "Beast" (or rather, not saying it) was hilarious! rotfl

I agree, the music was fantastic. This is what I found about it:
Beauty and the Beast (2017) - Trailer

Song(s) / Music:

- First Track: The Hit House - The Rose (Note: This track is a new rendition of both the songs 'Prologue' and 'Beauty and the Beast' ('Tale As Old As Time' seems to be another name for the track here), which were originally composed by Alan Menken.)

- Second Track: The second one is a custom mix by Really Slow Motion. It features their track 'Reborn', remixed here with Alan Menken´s track 'Beauty and the Beast'. This mix doesn't seem to be publicly available. (You can listen to the original version of 'Reborn' though online.)

And this is from Really Slow Motion’s Facebook page:
STOKED to share this after many months of work!! Official trailer of "Beauty and The Beast" featuring our track REBORN remixed with Alan Menken´s "Tale As Old As Time" (0:45-1:48). We are truly honoured to be able to work with such a legendary piece of film history. Thank you so much Disney, Lindsay, and of course the Down Under combo James Minas, Lydia Davies and Blake Robinson!!

So, it seems the music of the trailer isn’t available to download, but you can listen to the track used at the beginning of the trailer, which is the same music featured in the teaser trailer, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en1KsqnuQVM

And to 'Reborn' by Really Slow Motion here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca200VOI_I0

EDIT: Someone made this recreation of the trailer's music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp2Kdrn1nlU

How much earlier do soundtracks get released before the film release, usually? I remember buying Frozen long before ever seeing the film in theaters, but maybe my memory's faulty?

I didn't listen to the Frozen soundtrack until I'd seen the music in-context within the film (same reason I've avoided listening to anything else of Moana outside the End Credits song), but I probably wouldn't follow that rule here since I know most of the songs already. I just hope the full score is included.
