I still don't understand why they don't make this a 2-Disc DVD, one being the original Enchanted Tales, the other being Enchanted Tales 2 w/ the TPatF preview.

Woah kurtadisneyite, the originals getting old is no reason the sequels won't hurt them!

Every sequel effects the first film, unless the viewer consciously doesn't think of the later films, like they refuse to let their view change.

Thank goodness Cinderella III is more an alternate reality than an actual sequel. "What if there was a sequel?" That's all I will think of it. A very, very good, what if, the could be a real possibility if it continued, but only a very good, real, sense-making, probable possibility.

But the old films getting older just makes them more classic and more precious. The originals are untouchable. To me. While they have been touched a few too many times in the wrong places by Disney.

Can't the digital audio files stay the same qulaity? I'm pretty sure that's a yes. In fact, the whole digital film stays the same quality on the computers and don't get so bad Disney needs to remake any part of them.

I finally watched this DVD- I got it for Christmas 2007. I took notes while watching it:

Ugh, I knew Aurora wasn't going to sound like herself, but "Keys to the Kingdom", although the song sounds good on its own (well, the melody- some of the lyrics are cringeworthy), sounds nothing like Aurora. They matched Merriweather's voice pretty well, though. Aurora wore the same dress the next day...that stood out to me! Some of the subjects look like they came straight out of THOND. Aurora's wand mishaps were funny.

I loved Jasmine's segment, but I love her anyway. The bath scene was a little awkward. And why did Jasmine go to bed with her ginormous earrings, necklace, and jewelled headband? Iago was so funny. I liked Jasmine's songs, especially "I've Got My Eyes on You".

I like the Aurora dress-up game! Find Sahara wasn't as fun.

For the Sleeping Beauty segment they seemed to have gone to great lengths to match the voices of the three fairies and other minor characters to their counterparts in the original film. Even King Hubert, King Stephen and the Queen were matched well.

Dunno why they could've done the same for Aurora and Philip. It's very annoying when characters in sequels clearly do not sound anything similar to their original counterparts.

Mary Costa did say (in an interview for UD I believe) that the Sleeping Beauty segment for "Enchanted Tales" was a huge mistake on Disney's part and they've more or less vowed to cease using the character in their subsequent "Enchanted Tales" volumes.

I think that Belle was more on-model than in her sequels...

Just like Jasmine.

I really want them to make more volumes of Enchanted Tales!!!

Who knows, maybe if this new special edition sells well, maybe we'll have another volume...

I'm happy. I'm so happy.

All my favorites and likely all the best rolemodels of the, er, Big Nine! Tiana is already one of my favorites. My intuition isn't wrong about things like this - though if you tell yourself you're going to love something, you probably will.
