We were so thrilled that Xtina would re-record the song in 2020 for the live action version. Listen to it to hear the growth and passion of a woman who became a legend herself. Thank you Xtina. What an honor and privilege to work with you. And what a powerful contribution you’ve made to this new Mulan.
Yes that does feel anticlimacticSotiris wrote:Your theory is more interesting than what actually happens. The ending got leaked a while ago from the tie-in books. You can find it in this video. So, unless the books omitted things to prevent leaks like they did with Frozen 2, Mulan will just defeat Bori Khan by connecting to her chi and using his own energy against him causing him to fall from the scaffolding and plummet to his death.
Yes my queen!!! So, so good.farerb wrote:Reflection:

From my limited knowledge of who subscribes to Disney+, I'm going to assume that a lot of them actually aren't families of four. They're more likely young millennials with limited income who may or may not have a partner and may or may not have a child (more likely a dog, cat, or hardy plant). I'm single and go to the movie theater when tickets are $5. Paying six times more to watch one movie just doesn't make sense for me. At the very most I would spend $10 to see Mulan. Disney really is just being greedy here. With the economy flailing and a very difficult year already (and an even more difficult next few months), Disney just seems out of touch with their market right now. Yes, 2020 is the beginning of the thirty-year cycle where nostalgia goes into hyper drive and so I can see why the company would think millennials are all gung-ho about this, but I personally don't see how this particular marketing scheme will pan out.nomad2010 wrote:I’m slightly confused why all the backlash against the $30 price tag is such an issue. This is the movies theatrical run basically, and if 500,000 people pay for the $30 “admission” over the three months, the film only makes 15 million. This isn’t a rental, so you can watch it more than once unlike the theatrical rentals on VOD. And it’s almost uniformly $15 for a movie ticket per person these days. So let’s say the average family is 4 people, that’s saving them $30 dollars compared to going to the movies and that’s not even taking in snacks. I get it seems high, but when you look at the numbers, it’s not extreme at all and a reasonable price especially considering it doesn’t disappear after 24 hours like any other rental.
