Yeah, but one of things Disney has been making an effort on, is that they have been using the brand "Disney" as a replacement for "Walt Disney Pictures", even for recycled covers, on ALL of their releases now. Though they did slip up on the Tron blu-ray and put "Disney's" above the title.

Those are great!

I´d change the servants for Flotsam and Jetsam.

Yumny on blu-ray.com found this and it looks like no one over here has seen it yet. I don't know how exactly how I feel about this.

Eh, I don't see how it's any different from Ashley Tisdale doing a cover of "Kiss the Girl" on the '06 Platinum.

Just another pop cover of 'Part of Your World'. No shock there.

No one wants this crap, Disney! How about you include some real bonus features for a change?

By the end of the music video, Ariel finds out that Prince Eric is gay when he gives his number to Flounder.

If Disney wanted to include a "Part of Your World" cover, they already have one from 1997:

Jodi doing a BAD lip sync to the movie soundtrack just comes off as odd.

I did like Colbie Caillat's cover of Kiss the Girl MUCH better than Tisdale's...

All the money pumped into the recording of the song with carley, and the music video, could have been put into another actual bonus feature.

Hey, why not something really *gasp* shocking........have a sit down round table with all the surviving cast members and film makers. All discussing, in the same room, their experiences of making the movie.

While it would be nice to have, that sounds way more costly than a music video -- not to mention logistical issues juggling everyone's schedules.

There's no difference in juggling schedules between making a music video or making a new documentary. Also I would think it would be more expensive to make a music video than doing interviews and making a documentary with the cast who I"m sure would love to participate and would be just as cheap if not less than making a music video and all. Also for people not able to leave their area we live in a time where distance doeshosen't matter. They can be interviewed live via satellite for those unable to come for scheduling issues.

Oh, so you mean have everyone on Skype and record their conversations as little pop-up bubbles that run over top of the movie. That would be cheap.

There's better ways to do it than Skype. I mean how they do it on The Today show. If NBC wants to interview someone in Florida and Can't come to New York to the Today Show, they talk to them live via satellite. I meant in that kind of quality. Not Skype with bubbles.

I'm done talking about this for now. The truth is neither of us know what the cost of making a new music video or a documentary on a Blu ray Release like The Little Mermaid. I welcome anyone who might have a comparison of what costs more, Music Video or an interview with the cast.

disneyboy20022, you're right. The cost of recording someone being interviewed is going to be a fraction of the cost of getting a popular recording artist into a studio to record a song with musicians, and then hire a film crew for the music video.

And you're right that they wouldn't need to be together in the same room, if for the soul reason that they didn't technically work together on the film. Pat Carroll talks about how the cast met up at the beginning ONCE, and then she didn't see Jodi Benson again till the press conference. I like your idea much better than a Carly music video.

The Little Mermaid's Facebook page posted this article:

Disney teams up with Carly Rae Jepsen for The Little Mermaid

450 people liked it (myself included), although the majority of replies on Facebook (113 as of now) are overwhelmingly negative. Some of them are quite amusing. These are my favorite:

"I am disgusted. Gonna go cry in my pillow now."

"SWIM ARIEL SWIMMMMM!"

"This isn't the Disney I grew up on."

"Since when does Ariel sound like she's a dying cow?"

"BUT DATS MY SONG"

"as much as i agree with everyone else, at least it's not taylor swift"

"Goodbye childhood, you are dead now"

Ehh, they've done far worse in the past. I'd probably rather have her do it than the latest singer they are trying to push.
