They DO look cute! But I understand why he had to change--like you say, he looks too nice, and there's a caption in the book that says something like he was a "big hearted" guy (I'll have to go find it & properly quote it later). A guy like that wouldn't be a proper foil for the already super-sweet Rapunzel.....which opens up some interesting what-ifs, like what if Rapunzel was a crafty kind of girl who was just using the big lug, kind of like Herc & Megara at first. I like things the way they are now XD

And I agree, Bastion looked super cool! And complicated :lol:

Bastion version of Flynn reminds me of an animated Jack Sparrow in my opinion?

taoayumu, I saw the post on hellyeahtangled about the graphic novel--I was also told by Disney Guest Services to try calling a mail-orders number. I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow, so if it works I'll let you know! Well, everyone, really :lol:

"bastion" reminded me of jim from treasure planet. and teddy bear flynn reminds me of pacha.

[im kinda glad they changed his name, though bastion is cool. i can see it being misheard by people who look for evil everywhere.]

Okay, so I'm hearing Tangled's budget is something like $80 million. Is this true?

No way... I haven't heard otherwise either way, but there's just no way they made this movie for that little. With all the story changes, technology advancements, and just the fact that it's been in production for however many years it is now.

Although it would be wonderful if $80 million was really true. They'll make that back no problem at all.

But we're not talking about the cost from previous incarnations and from all those years in development but from the moment Greno and Howard were appointed as directors and re-worked the film from scratch. It took them about 2 1/2 years to finish it.

I'm actually glad that they went with the 'hot' flynn idea. Big bear flynn just .. doesn't fit in the movie..

I apologise if this was posted, but I just found this video via Laughing Place. It's of Rapunzel and Flynn's grand entry at Disneyland Paris from last Saturday (6th November), during a press event and the European premiere of Tangled (which was held at Disneyland Paris). It's very romantic. :)
