P.S. I thought the scene of Cinderella running down the palace steps seemed a little bit out of place, so I thought I would take the time to edit the clip to how I thought editor Martin Walsh should've edited the scene. Please let me know what you think! :)

Tonight, I decided to add the "The Stroke Of Midnight" score by Oliver Wallace and Paul J. Smith from the animated film to the live-action film. Please let me know what you think. Thanks! :)

jpod, I liked your new edit! I like it because it shows the parts of the prince chasing her being closer to the parts of Cinderella reacting to her slipper lost, and then the prince, and then going back toward the carriage. The only thing is I wish you could have gotten the slipper sliding on the stone in. And your edit with the music from the animated film was great, too! It reminds me why the score of the original film is so great! This movie seems like it will have a great score, too, though.

What did you mean? The ones who missed what?

I saw the sneak peek for this film on "Once Upon a Time" and it was great! Cinderella was sticking up for herself and saying "no" to the stepmother and it was great! I wonder how empowered she will seem when I see the final film. I also wonder what Cate Blanchett thinks of the original animated film or of this film because in one interview she said she "didn't gravitate" to the Cinderella fairy tale, I think (am I right?) because the heroine was so passive.

This is something Richard Madden also comments on in this interview. I love his facial expressions haha.

Also, an interview with Lily James and one with Cate Blanchett. A lot of promo for this movie! :D

Also, the soundtrack came out today! It's already on Spotify! :)

That was the BEST spot I have ever seen for this film! And some people are calling the film brilliant and a masterpiece!!! And the music in that spot was so fitting and gorgeous! I wish that was the music they used in the last trailer instead of that other song.

Thank you OldFishTale for that and the two interviews!

And thank you WillytheDino for those interviews!

Click here and here for more Lily James interviews. And if you click on this one, she says she would love to play Ursula! LOL!!!

And check this one out! Controversy over Cinderella's waistline! And with more behind the scenes footage and funny things the actors say!

And click here for that Fairy Godmother featurette in English now!

Only one more day till I finally see my dream come true!!!!

Really excited about tonight's family trip to the movies. We have our tickets in hand for the Special Screening of Walt Disney's live-action Cinderella at the Warren Theaters here in Wichita!!! What a way to celebrate Spring Break for our grand kids and what a good movie to enjoy as a family.

I am probably wrong about this, but I don't see any other UDers who enjoy family night at the movies. To me, it is the one time we all can laugh and shed a tear together, and have something to talk about that we have all seen.

Daughter and Son-in-Law along with Tymber and Zach are leaving Friday evening on their trip to Nashville for the Spring Break holidays. My wife and I will have this whole big house to ourselves, which is going to be pretty cool.

We will probably go see "Cinderella" once or twice more next week while they are gone.
The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!
I LOVE my Blu-Ray Disc Player!

An interesting interview with Chris. He talks about the difference between Mark and Kenneth's versions of the film. Click here.

And another gratifying spot! Click here.

Hm...that interview was good, but didn't reveal much on how Mark Romanek's version was going to be.

That spot was great! But I loved the one just before that, with the gorgeous music, the most. I caught a version of that spot with the gorgeous music without quotes on TV tonight, and it was great that way.

I saw the movie earlier this evening and it was very good. If you love Disney's animated Cinderella, you'll like this one too.

I do think certain parts felt more rushed than others and that may be due to the edits made to shorten the movie. For example, I know now the "what are you doing?/dreaming" scene that's being shown in TV spots is not in the final cut. Makes me really want to watch an extended version or fan edit with whatever deleted scenes get put on the Blu-ray.

^Reading about all those cuts a little while back already made me hope there'll be an extended version.

I actually might get to see this in theaters after all; at least, I made a date to see it with someone, but who knows if that'll pan out or not. :P

Had the chance to see this tonight. Followed this carefully over the past year, because I have always wanted to see Sisney do an earnest rebelling of one of their animated films. This more than lived up to it. Nice character development, stunning acting (particularly by Lily James who made a flat character come vividly alive) and cinematography so gorgeous that you'd swear it was a painting at times. It's nice to see Disney do a live action tale with the mindset of an animated feature. It works, and I wish we would get more of them. I had only a few complaints, those being the quick cuts during the exiting of the ball which didn't give a lot of breadth to the scenery, and the last (which I won't spoil) felt rushed as well. I think I wanted to see something a bit more like the animated film, and the delivery of the lines irked me for some reason. Overall though, I couldn't be more pleased. I know there are some out there that see this as unnecessary but it's quite the opposite. It's an expansion of the animated film with more heart than you can imagine. To be honest, it's the best adaptation of the story ever. I hope those of you who aren't too eager for it give it a chance. It's pretty special.

Well, considering the small time gap between 'Into the Woods' and 'Cinderella', it's clear Disney didn't want to tell the same version of the story twice. And that's why Mark's film fell apart.

I'd love to know the name of that piece of music.

Saw the movie last night, and I still can't even put into words how amazing it was. I think it even topped the animated film for me, and that movie is near and dear to my heart.
